How do u link them to a model? I have made the Ent C based on the stock FO Ambassador class.

I renamed the moded texture file fed_entc and also moded the bump file the same way and saved as fed_entc_bump. The texture file looks fine ingame but the bump file doesnt show :(

What am I missing?

It would seem that you cant add bump maps in milkshape :( Would anyone be willing to add the bump maps to the models I have if I was to send the model and the maps etc?

I don't think anyone here knows how to do bumpmaps, but there is a member over at MSFC who does.  I think its Amateur, but I"m not sure.

bump maps are added via 3dmax and in that program are kindda needed otherwise lighting looks poop

I've no idea about bumpmaps I'm afraid. There's an option in Max for them (which I've used in renderings from time to time, though it tends to mess up when global illumination is added into the mix), but I'm running max 8; so I need to use milkshape to export.

As Blade says, I think you'll need one of the earlier versions of max to do it I'm afraid.

Ha, I thought it was you.  Must have been achilles or someone else with an A name.  There are alot over there.  Avon, Achilles, Atlantis, Amateur, Adm_Z...  :lol:

k, got a copy of max 5, but I need the sod importer and exported for a2 dont I? Where can I get it?

k, got the exporter. Doesnt seem to be an importer, so if I make a model in milkshape and export as 3ds, then open in max, add the bump map and export as sod, will the original hp structure setup in milkshape still be correct?

I believe so, but you could always hardpoint it in max.

Dont know how to use max though. I can add a bump map by following the BBOM. Ill read through that and see if it covers hp's in max.

mulkshape won't export the the nodes to max
