Ok I am considering moving some of my long term mod work over to FO and hav noted that all the Attack patterns are gone from the menuver commands. As my work is phyics heavy I realy need those commands for use in combat. There is no use having ships that look cool moving and fighting if you can't make them move when they fight.

With that in mind I have 2 questions

1)      Can the original patterns be restored?
2)      Can you program new ones yet?

There are also some new commands that you can use to keep units constantly moving a believe - a la fighters :) . Doesn't change the base premise though

If you give vessels the fighter classlabel they will constantly move if I recall correctly :)

I'm afraid I don't understand your questions  :sweatdrop: . Why don't you take a look at the fighters in Fleet Ops :) . fed_avalonF is one of them  :)

He means the circle, cloverleaf and up/down attack patterns...not the formations...

Would that have any other effect on the ship itself? Like commands, and such. Or does it only effect the movement?

^-^

Actually, unless the new class label does that, if you set either 0 or negative(I don't remember which) backwardsacceleration on a ships physics file, they will not stop, but instead circle around the desired place.

Yea but then you have triuble getng them into repair bays and stuff

Yeah, I dunno.  You could make a replaceweapon that was a combat mode or something that, among other possible things, switched the physics to ones that wouldn't stop, but could switch back for repairs.
