currently far away expansions give advantage to fed and Borg...as one could see in the tournament

i think expansion moons are at a good distance for races who need to expand early to survive, also it's not like you can base run to expansion like outland outposts  so i think distance is fine

Dominus that's the whole reason I made this map. If you're dominion, klingon, or romulan, you are at a serious disadvantage when your moons are sooo far away from your base. :)

I find far expansions give advantage to those who use it - far expansions allow cloaking factions to easily lure and take out mining colonies with little retaliation due to superior scouting and trickery. If people are concerned about distance I suggest choosing or designing a map such as The Frozen Depth or The Reef - there you can pick the distance you'd like your expansion to be, and 1v1's are much less predictable  ^-^ . Of course, it takes a bit more skill to play on those due to the need to constantly scout and expand, so it can get more frustrating for newer players.

All of what you just said is indeed true Dominus, but the borg don't require an expansion while they can prevent you from getting one. The Federation on the other hand can just turret, turret, turret and prevent cloaking races from raiding (not to mention their awesome cloak detect and warpin rush).

Update: After thinking about this a little more, what do you think about having the tri moon up so that it's around the same position as in duel? I could also move the di moon up a little too
