Uhm, how is this Steam's fault?

Thanks for testing. I remember to have encountered this problem sometimes in stock A2 and also in other games. I might be able to fix that later. Temporary fix would be to disable the interface popups. Anyway, FO should be supported pretty soon...

You don't need to allow any data of yours to be publicly available. But I find that knowing how much time you spend playing it might serve as a warning for yourself.
I don't use the signature, because two of the top games I usually play are the MS solitaire and Spider that come with windows XP.
Though I was shocked to see that I devoted 100+ hours a week to a web game. While I surfed, I had a window permanently open to Astro Empires, and played with it while there were lulls in the job hunt.
Basically the same reason I play solitaire and spider so much, they are compatible with a web browser in my very much limited computer (1.5 Gigs of RAM are not something you can do too much with, even using Win XP ).
Incidentally, I very much doubt that five people reporting it works will be enough for letting FO into the Xfire list.

I'm pretty sure it is now Darth Thantos, although I can't find the post.

In this thread, there are five people, including Doca Cola and me, that report the detection and launch of FO works.
I also checked all of the release notes for Xfire, and in none of them the term "fleet" ( for "fleet ops" or "fleet operations" ) appears.

It's already supported for about 3 weeks.
Haven't posted about yet because I'm still not happy with ingame interface. Too buggy for my taste and I couldn't manage to fix it yet.

I know xfire supports voice communication and stuff, but does it also double as a network tool thing? i.e. could it replace tunngle?
