7800GTX 25MB PCi-E

I use a GeForce 8800GT OC2 512MB PCI-E. Probably one of the better video cards I've owned. I had, and still have a 7800GTX 256MB that I keep threatening to put on eBay, though I don't think it'd fetch much.

My favourite ever was the ATi 9700PRO. I loved that thing when I first got it. It was just so much better than anything that had come before it, and certainly better than the GeForce 4 MX440 that it replaced. The difference was like night and day!

EVGA branded GeForce 9600 GSO 786MB. I haven't run it with everything maxed as of yet since I'm still toying around with Starcraft II :sweatdrop: .

GeForce FX 5700LE with AGP port. If Andre's 8400 is old then mine is ancient.

Perhaps we should start a museum for ancient graphics cards.

That could be fun. I actually have one of the first 2D accelerators lying around somewhere...

I have a ATI Radeon HD 6970 here. 2gb of gpu memory may be overkill, but then again so is my compliment of 24gb of ram and my 8 cores.

the ram in your graphics card isn't that overboard, 2gb futureproofs you for a few years.

the 24gb of system ram is probably too much, unless you like editing very large media files.

i have only 8gb system ram and i've never come close to filling it.

Yeah my system's ram stays at about 4-5gb when I just have a few web pages open and other random background stuff open, when I do a lot of photo editing it climbs to 6-7gb, but if I start editing movies and other intensive stuff it still stays below 15gb On Windows I could actually live with 16gb of ram no problem, on Linux I could still live with one or two gigs, as I'll have 20+ tabs open in Firefox & music running and not hit 700mb of memory use. The only bad thing is that fleetops doesn't like to run well in Linux like Starcraft II or Diablo III, or Bridge Commander. ( Which doesn't ironically doesn't like running in Windows 7 64 )

Nvidia GTX 470 here (EVGA). Thinking of upgrading to dual 560's in SLI mode, but I haven't had a hitch in the 470, so I'll probably keep that one until it blows up or something :o
