known on DS9 as DS9 Terok Nor a nuther was Empok Nor was its organal name. if it is bilt by the cardys it shood go by the name Nor some thing. tarock nore was a mining station to the cardys as much as it was a definvive station. it all so used slave laber and was maly used for prosesing ores/medals.

These type of stations have the capacity to accommodate about 7,000 people. i hope the fo teem keeps this in mind when bilding ds9.

I find it werid that a huge behemoth station like that is actually a dilithium ore mining facility, and not a battle-oriented Starbase...

Actually it makes a lot of sense that it was just a refinery originally. Compared to the Klingon starbases we've seen and of course the Federation stardocks, DS9 is very small indeed.

There was Terok Nor and Empok Nor, Empok Nor was stripped of parts for Terok Nor, aka DS9.

Empok Nor wasnt completley stripped of parts. Terok Nor was orginaly the orbital base station of the cardassians during the ocupation. Not just a refinery. When you think about it, they could hold a nice sized garrison on it and when Dukat was in charge of the ocupation he had his office on Terok Nor and ran the ocupation from it.

So it was more then a refinery (if I remember right it was not dilithium but it was galamite ore) but originaly orbiting bajor I ould see it being used primarily as a refinery. (Also note that the size specs where bumped up from the original specs, probably for scaling with the galaxy class or something like that)

i think Terok Nor need to be the size of the station in this post http://forum.fleetops.net/index.php?showto...findpost&p=3825
eny thing smaller will make it look werd the whay the station is made it can only go so small be for looking to small.

hes saying make the station this big or it will be too small for a station :)

and yeah the link was the same as last one :shifty:

my opinion is i'd love to see DS9 come to Fo B)
problem is how powerful do you make it 'cos it got upgraded prior to the dominion war didn't it, so im sure no one wants a god station now eh :omg:

not to pawer full it must be weeker or the same strinth as a fed station.

we don't want DS9 to be a god station...that wouldn't be any fun. Most likely it would have moderate weapons capabilities and VERY powerful sheilds...that way, it will last a while in the game, and can withstand some hefty attacks while not annihilating an enemy fleet in seconds. Would this station have mining/repair capabilities? Time will tell ^_^

hmmm. i think maybe excelent hull points and not so good shields, seeing as how the negh'var took its shields down pretty quickly. well erm with a couple of shots if im not mistaken :D i think standard phasers instead of pulse, and maybe a few torp launchers. B)
