I'd rather attack and lose and get pwned by a counter attack then die from just defending base, seems more honorable.

well if their is enough of a fleet left you can easaly atack their base when it has no ships

defending is only good against the AI because they don't pick in moons

If you defend in a PvP then you are doomed because while you expect an attack every minute, the attacker can either grab all the moons or build a large fleet.

because most turrest are quite expensive

and with the money u can build a few ships to attack or defend as well... and they are mobile...

Well for me at least borg turrets are better, and they also have tachion detection

But arent nearly as strong

but with all the money u can spend some on special weapons.. and in the time your building enough turrets u can build the 2. generation ships which are a bit more powerful especially with that special thingys, for example, i wont build more then 4, the rest is money used for ships for defense, cause of the lack of ressources at the beginning, and when the cash flow´s right, some turrets after that

Well of course first ships and then turrets, I just said that turrets are much stronger and so are a better defence ^_^

hm, much stronger? when u get all the upgrades, u dont need any turrets at all
cause no turret on its own is stronger then the big ships...
