hi all,

i know i know.... "oh no, some1 more who wants to have an armada 2 vessel back....^^ k...but pls read...

What do think about the possibility of building the Nebula class, BUT in a similiar way, Borg Cubes are built (with modules (--> Sensors, torp.launchers etc) and maybe a special shipyard).
Everyone knows that the Nebula class is not only a science ship cause it can be easily refittet with other systems like torpedo-launchers...

????so what do you think?

It will get a second module (as seen in Zeich's posts) but it will not be buildable - it is a rare vessel in Starfleet and that is what Warp-In shows.

i really dont think that it is a rare ship.

just a thought:

would starfleet really stop the production of ships which base on the galaxy-saucer just because of the enterprise was destroyed? i dont think so.

You're assuming that's the reason.  It's not.

The Developers of this mod have decided on their own timeline.  In their timeline the Galaxy and the ship's of it's timeline (including the Nebula) are no longer built in favor of the FO ships like the Excelsior II, the Monsoon, the Akira, the Remore and such...

Trust me, there have been a ton of threads wanting the Warp-in vessels to be buildable.  It ain't gonna happen.  Number of requests is irrelevant, "good ideas" are irrelevant, negotiations are irrelevant.  You will be assimilated.  Your culture will adapt to service us.  Your biological distinctiveness will be added to our own.  You will cease to desire warp-ins as buildable ships.

They are getting redoes.  At the moment, just enjoy each vessel you get as a warp-in and protect it with your life.  Maybe that will keep people from using their warp-ins as free cannon-fodder.

I only wished the devs would have taken the "Phoenix"-model instead of the standard one, because it would more fit to the usage of the Nebula class ingame. The sensor pod would be more accurate.

hm... okay..... then just a x-mas wish  :D

more ships as warp in, which are not "too modern" ....

I actually just watched "The Wounded" today and didn't like the model as much as a warship.  It looked too much like a science vessel and I didn't buy that without a weapons pod on the upper structure it could ruin the Cardassian vessels in the easy way it managed to do so.  I dig the model we have now as a fighting vessel.

This is a point, but the Nebula in FO has no torps and a sensor-special ability so I think the sensor pod would fit better.

If you care to look on Zeich's blog, you will find what you are looking for.

Yes, 2 seperate 'pods' for the Nebula Class. Pity there doesn't seem to be any Melbourne-type Nebula varients in the forseeable future...

It is well known that Federation vessels are noticable superior to Cardassian ships, so the idea of a Galaxy-era ship like the Nebula easily beating a Cardassian warship (which we don't know the class of, by the way) isn't that far fetched. No matter what superstructure the ship has on top, the phasers and photons are still those of a standard Nebula.

Just because the target was a warship, it isn't naturally superior in battle to non-warships of a more powerful and advanced race.

That's why cardassian warships usually come in groups of three. If they're intercepting with only one vessel they'll probably loose the battle. Also, the captain of the Phoenix, Benjamin Maxwell had experience in fighting Cardassians, so I think he knew some weak points.

nebula good looking ship, one thing i was reading in a book cardassian ships have the ablity to block sensors of federation ships, anyone heard of this

In the TNG episode "The Wounded", Geordi remarks that the Cardassian cargo ships were using a high energy subspace field to stop Federation scans from determining what cargo the vessels were carrying. That is all however - other than that, Fed ships could easily determine what the Cardassian ships were and where they were.

i always thought cardassian ships looked good i think well, iam little down on the fact they lack the power to fight other ships.
