1) what does the (c) tag at the start of your youtube titles mean?

The "(C)" stands for commentated replay. Someone had asked for a way to distinguish commented vs non-commentated videos, and the prepended "(C)" was the solution.

2) can u give an indication in the post of who won, especially to see who won in a rematch.

I've considered this in the past, but decided against it because I didn't want to ruin the game by spoiling the ending. Additionally, just about every replay I've ever watch (mostly SC & SC2 replays) don't give away the ending. I'm not set in stone on this... but there are current justifications for why I don't do this.

Something I'm curious about; why do you put their team color in text if their name is in that color already?

A remnant of my not taking process. It also helps distinguish between forum colors that don't match in-game colors and helps distinguish green/light green. Conveying the information in two different forms helps reinforce it, too.

Yeah I had the same problem against the feds Mort . If you see intrepids, get bombers, if you see monsoons, get bugs, and if you see akiras, get more bugs

Monsoons vs. Bugs? Monsoons are slightly faster than Bugs and have a torpedo special weapon that always hits (with enuff damage that three will make sure a damaged bug is dead.) And if the Fed player double-yards you are very, very dead.
You want B8s against Monsoons, even tho Monsoons counter long range, the pulses deal more damage due to Monsoons being destroyers.

monsoons counter b8 war frigates

nothing in the dominion fleet counters monsoons properly.

the b5 carrier comes closest as it is short ranged, but it deals a large proportion of its damage via torps that miss the monsoon. and the monsoons passive (hi density shields) only means it does 10% less damage to short ranged, which isnt much.

the other short ranged dominion ship has a passive which makes it weaker against short ranged stuff, it takes 23% more damage.(tactical weapons array)

just incase you're wondering monsoons counter both breen ships too.

your best bet against monsoons is bugs with a smattering of s2, the bugs dont miss, and do base damage, and will counter the akira that will be built later. and u can build more bugs than your enemy makes monsoons. and the s2 needs its special. definitely avoid war frigate and breen cruiser/battleship and dont spam s2 (never ever spam s2 against anything really).

EDIT: btw pulse weapons dont do increased damage to destroyers, they do base damage (ie normal damage) to SMALL ships (not destroyers, its based on size not type), they do reduced damage (by 20%) to mediums, and far reduced damage (by 40%) to large ships. so you are right pulses work for small ships, but not because they deal more, but because they avoid dealing less.

Bugs > Monsoons


  The Mons may be a tiny bit faster, but the Bugs are produced quicker and have better range.  You can out-micro the Mons pretty easily because you can almost ALWAYS be firing while the Mons might suffer from that silly habit of wanting to attack something already damage that's JUST out of range.


  Bombers miss too much and the extra damage is negated.

  B-8's do less damage because of High Density Shields.

  S-2's get clobbered because of torpedo miss rates and the fact that they take extra from short.

  Bugs are your way to go .

hey yandon, just saw your latest 2 replays and i really like the new feature at the end where u put up the relative power of armadas.

a suggestion. with each post attach images of the main pages of the admirals log, or put them at the end of the video, or both.

I'm gonna buy a better headset so that I can speak a little more clearly .

  Also I need to turn my Flops volume down a bit as I couldn't hear Yandon speaking if I was watching a battle  .  Totally fun though and I can't wait to guest on another

*Oh btw Boggz. I know you did not want to game with me cos I quit alot. And yesterday someone told you I quit from a game etc. But I guess they did not tell you of the games before that one where I stayed to the very end. And the 2v2v2 I had where I got hammered and lost just about all, then came back with 2 Tac-Cubes, a Sphere and a Diamond, and then proceeded to smight the other two teams (with my Federation ally, Alternate-End). *

hey nice replay. loved the dual commentary. boggz sounds funny.

boggz suggested building frigate gens, they fail hard against mayson as he has so few ships with defence <19

spectres would have been better, they have the defence against torps which come from intreps and akiras. im not sure if this bonus applies to the spws of the intrep and monsoon which are both torps.
