If you mean for us players, yes it was. It was also frustrating tho. I spent the last ten minutes complaining because I really really hate how I couldn't stop the assimilation of mining stations and needed intense micro to be in four places at once with all the beaming.
It was probably much more fun for the Borg.

kamk: "nice nice or nasty?"
WarpCore: "nasty sounds good"
:whistling:

The transporter wars have been fun though. Nebula  was really freaking quick with that.

no mistake Arash...you get sympathy points for that

I've seen that game with my own eyes, and that stupid sphere survived with like 1 hp... unlucky. But until that you really had him, and was very nice to see you micro'ing your scube / probe army.

@Arash's game:  Wow that was rough, almost getting that sphere.  It was good to see your other gameplay though, I'm not very good with non-cloaky scouts so I need to see more good use of them as an example.

@Yandonman's game: also a good match, but as a mapmaker it's got me thinking.  Duel has sort of a forward position for borg, in the form of the blue nebulas.  I had hoped that Rotary Supercollider would have a similar effect but a bit weaker.  There are the small blue nebulas near the middle and also a tiny bit of blue/purple you can slip into next to the 4 side moons.  Can somebody try to use these and tell me if it works?  I imagine it wouldn't help against long range units but maybe against leahvals you could, say, protect an injured dode with your scubes without having to retreat all the way home or die.

I have posted this match on the video database of the guide.
It was an epic game! Thanks for commentating and recording that!

The match was ok but pretty predictive. It was clear from the beginning that superior micro and a bit of luck is the only chance Boggz has against a skilled Borg player. OTP was not making good use of cloak detect in the beginning so the game lasted longer than needed imo. I was impressed how much damage the Spheres did...they beat the Vorchas pretty hard.

With my perfect hindsight, I can see that OTP needed an EM scube in the beginning, and Boggz needed to fight at the entrance to his Imp yard in the end.  I wonder if Luspet could have lasted longer against the spheres?

Actually, when I think about it Luspet would be hard to kill for almost any borg.  ADAI vs spheres, probes, adaptors and cubes, battleship class vs intercept scubes and dodes... basically only regen scubes and diamonds do full damage.

I think it's great to see boggz trying out unique strategies against the borg.  Keep up the good work mate!

Yep, the assessments made here are pretty accurate.  Neither OTP nor myself have played very much in the last few weeks so we both made some pretty glaring omissions.  I made a few tactical mistakes, forgot to get miners back on my di/tri moons after attacks, and fought in the wrong place a few times.  OTP neglected much cloak detect and suffered losses because of it.

Both of us made mistakes

Well, maybe next tourney try a map pool, with different kind of maps, that benefit different races and gamestyles. Blue nebulas are definitely a disadvantage for cloaker, and a huge benefit for borg (against any other race) if well used - like OTP does.

Well, in the end i agree with Boggz here: both did mistakes (as everyone does), and in the end OTP did the more minor ones. Well played, next match you get him!

Rooting for you boggz! Borg are imbalanced! I played denarius and he destroyed my joining with probe and scube early on
