Don't worry, I didn't even notice that.  But  what I noticed is that watching this vid was almost as pleasing to me as the publishing of FO 3.1.2 would have been.  :D

i noticed it, but i didn't care. i dont mind the enterprise getting blown up. call it a fan story where the D dont get blown up by the duras sisters and riker's stupidity but instead gets blowed up however u decide.  ^-^

(still caused by riker's stupidity or troi being a woman driver :P )

I kinda was concerned about how people would think if there were two D's. (Two scenes with a galaxy) Plus I think I noticed the Registry on the Ambassador. Am I wrong or was it the C?

This is why I hate registries on textures. You are getting clones of the same dang ship.

Well, I want to add this as a constructive critisism:

The Dreadnaught in the beginning has a too smoothy and shiny appearance. The hull is not meant to be a mirror watching yourself scream and die.  :sweatdrop: So I'd appreciate to see that one being less shiny.

Then when the Dreadnaught uses its special ability...why not showing a sort of "transparent wave" effect hitting the enemy ships?

Some of the explosions need improvement. They don't seem to fit ... looking photoshop "cut and paste". Also I suggest to not use different explosion textures. Stick to one texture type with a variety of explosion elements.

Music composition is very good, flair is very good, plot is very good, Borg could play a stronger role though, however, the Borg part is done also good.

Although I don't agree about the Dreadnought appearance or ability, indeed some of the later explosions could deal with some touch ups - maybe the in game graphics in 3.1.2 will help with that though, I don't know  :sweatdrop:

Yeah that was before I had access to in-game models. I managed to convert a model that was in 3ds max, but it had no texture, so I had to texture it myself using images from other models.

im gonna be the bad boy for this:
but i didnt like it.
why: personally i like intros that tell something about the story. due the lack of story in FO u get a Problem ofc, so at least i think that the next way is to show the biggest strength or something that is very very special for the faction of every race.
On a side note: the space battles look quite good

You know the problem with intro's telling a story? The game needs to actually have a story. FO is about fleets battling, which is what the intro shows (a little too well, since ships don't move in battle).

Campains may be planned, but they too involve a lot of battling.

i remember something that stands in alot manuals ... First read and understand it before you do something.

i said that FO lacks a story.
I also said that at least in my sight a another way is to put the biggest strength or something like that in a intro. (btw which was made for the romulans there alr)

Hmm...? I'm afraid I don't understand what you are trying to say. This game is about space battles and the intro is supposed to represent what you will see in the game. If you think about it, the intro does have a story to it. A Federation research station is attacked by the Dominion (early dread rush). Federation ships warpin to distress call, and are obliterated. But they damaged it enough for the Klingons to quickly kill it off. After the tittle sequence we see the Federation rebuilding its forces and launching an attack on the Romulans. The Federation loses the battle because they aren't coordinated enough and didn't use any special weapons, therefor the Romulans emerged victorious. We then see the aftermath of the battle. At the end, we get a surprise visit from the Borg, who had been quietly been building up their forces. A typical FO game :D. So the moral of the story is: don't leave Borg alone because the end wont be pretty. :D

That's what I was shooting for because that's what this game is really about. Thanks for the feedback though. I will try to include more story in a future version, but it would prove difficult as I don't have a recording studio and Patrick Stewart to do the audio. :P
