honestly the easiest fix for the GFX issue now that I'm on windows 10 was just to tell fleetops to use the experimental directx9 mode they started to implement, not only did it fix all issues and get flops working on windows 10 but it also means you didn't need to create a custom profile in catalyst controller... also my FPS improved

I tried that, and while it fixed all the graphics issues, it caused various unexplained game crashes that made the game unplayable, especially as the Borg.

I think what the jest of the situation is, we may not be coders or modders but we do play FO. Regular updates and nice posts about how things are going generates interest. More interest, more people playing and more people to have fun with. I am not complaining about time it takes nor the amount of dedication, which you guys have tons. Just talk to us and let us share in the experience.

I understand that. However we do not want to invest our energy into that yet. There were many projects in the past by others which showed lots and lots of nice screenshots and gave extensive updates on development stuff and hyped the hell out of themselves - and in the end nothing ever came out of them. People are just used to see that happen. That is also why we don't see real value in investing too much time into that.
We want the community to be involved as much as possible in the development progress as soon as we reach beta state. And obviously after that you'll get a lot more updates on our progress as well.
