I recently did some browsing through Bridge Commander FileFront and various files in my Kobayashi Maru install. What I found was AWESOME re-textures for the USS Galaxy and USS Venture models that I have from Starbase 34.  :woot: I applied them, and now they match the beauty of my re-textured original P81 Enterprise-D

myleswolfers wrote:that scene would be difficult because ships in flops explode several seconds after the last weapon impact. meaning i could get the phaser OR the explosion, but not both.

Difficult but possible, look at my last posted screenshot some posts before and tell me what you see. I see a Sang exploding while the Magnan-effect is still looping.^^
And sometimes you will also notice that phasers (that's rare) or projectiles (not that rare) will hit through just exploding ships. This occured since Armada 1.

true, but i would have to blow up sooooo many kvorts to find that perfect shot, and i love the new model way too much to do that.

Beautiful.

Is that the FO Excelsior? I guess under the right conditions, even that can look pretty good.

its the excel that comes with FO.

which one of our amazing devs made the excel model, or is it 3rd party?

i used two light sources, one on either side of the ship. i was happy with the lighting in the end.

EDIT: in case anyone was wondering i've been using fo to recreate famous star trek battles. this was the melbourne getting om-nom-nom-ed by the BoBW cube. and the defiant getting half nom-ed by the other cube in first contact. turns out worf didnt taste nice so they stopped nomming the defiant. i'm surprised sisko didn't bust worf down to ensign for getting his ship so badly damaged.

voyager will be nearly impossible because fo doesnt have delta quadrant races other than borg, and voyager's encounters with the borg were kinda boring. maybe i'll do voyager vs tactical sphere from the episode with hugh that other adorable future tech borg.

You could try a non-canon battle? Picard and Worf Vs Janeway... or Picard and the Queen Vs Janeway?

Or something like "what would have happened, if in Endgame the Negh'Vars woul have come through the time rift".
An Intrepid against two Negh's could be nice to see... in a... not that survivable way.  :sweatdrop:

i'll use your idea RedEyedRaven, thx. voyager against two neghs would be a mismatch, o well. serves voyager right for threshold.

You forget Voyager's defences are far superior to a regular Intrepid's due to the immense amount of Plot Protection the writers had installed on it

they could just launch the delta flyer to blow them up  that had more plot protection than any other ship, they blew it up, only for it to be rebuilt as the delta flyer 2.
