Warp: Please, I'm Begging

I understand that this mod is based on armada 1 gameplay, but it just isnt the same without warp drive. maybe its just me, but waiting 10 hours for a ship to move across the map isn't in my agenda. put the warp drive back in, it will make game play much more realistic. to make it even more realistic, you could have like astroid fields and dust fields damage the shields while their in warp just like the actual show. at impulse, their navagaional deflector takes care of the dust field. but please, put the warp drive back in. :D

Hi and welcome to the forums.

Well, sorry, but there won't ever be warp in Fleet Operations :)
Warp kills most of strategical and tactical features. You can defend your base easy, cause your fleet is at every point within a few seconds. same to offense. you can fly through the enemy base and attack it from behind without having trouble with the defence stations. Warp also makes the game very hectic and irritating.
Well, if you want so, it is unrealistic to have warp in Fleet Operations. As far as i know you should not use warp within a system with asteroids, planets, nebulas or something like that. Cause all Fleet Operations maps are sektors with thing in them you cannot use warp there.

warp would be more interesting if all maps in armada 2 would be 10 times bigger but thats something that would slower systems brake down

transwarp helps, and so does hyper impulse, and if your kling, rom, noxter, go make sure your base is ok while you wait, or go into camera and just watch.

Oh come on... P L E A S E ? ? ? I'll give myself a dollar! :D

Warp drive is what I base my entire stratgy on. So what? I'm cheap. I'd rather wait 1 second than 10000 seconds. Oh yeah, and a problem with the transwarp thing is their one way. You can only go through them from the transwarp station. I maybe wrong, but I'm pretty sure though. If I am, then yell at me and say im stupid, but I 90% sure you can only go through the transwarp portal from the hub.

i have seen on voyager it goes in a conduit and a cube nearle hits it come ing the other way.

(edit) i just though like saying someones is stupid so u gave me permission (humm not many people do that lol) to do it.

Yes, but what you don't know, but I do is that conduit was connected to another hub that was sent to intercept it. Yeah, what now?

Did anyone of you ever watch the TNG episodes "Descent, Part I + II"?

There you can see that those transwarp conduits they used could be opened by the emission of a special tachyon burst. No transwarp hub, no nothing. The transwarp conduit was established by the borg and anyone who knew the right tachyon signature could enter it.

So what? ;)

When i remember it right, The Borg changed there Transwarpchannel after "Descent", so that you need a transwarpcoil to enter the Channe l ;)
