I think one of the main cool things about armada 2 was the trade station,

i'd like to see it back in Fleet operations

maybe not as a trade station but that you can convert a freighter into a Supply frigate or deep space freighter wich would mean it gets some stronger shields and a larger cargo bay, then it could load say 100 dilithium and 100 tritanium or perhaps 200 of both and some supply's and you could unload it at a friendly base converting it to your ally,

this would mean as a nice extra that it is in your advantage to have small patrols with scouts or whatever to strike hard and fast and destroy any aid that would come their way

loading and unloading could be done at a trade center or at the outpost, i dont know,

what do you guys think?

yeah, trading station was nice, but its impact on strategic gameplay was negligable, except for resource bussiness (it was a little like cheating :))

thou it would be great if some form of commerce was reintroduced...

U can give your ally resources now, just turn on ally-trading, and then u can give him everything ;) :D

Yeah, but i like to see some ingame interaction between the players when trading instead of resources just appearing in your stock pile, im all for the return of trading stations it was always nice when you had an ally who despertly needed resources and you had to battle through the enemy to get your transport ships to there station

Indd, fighting your way to help your ally

it's more fun but ofcourse you don't need to build a trade station and you can do it by clicking but it gives some fun to see your aid ships reach your ally safely :assimilate:

it seems to much trouble to me, noone will use it, its better u send your ally ships in his time of need.
If u ask me I rather work out my offencive/defencive strategy then this trade system :)

well perhaps it's a nice idea to be able to send your allies ships 2

that they can convert to his control at a trade station or shipyard or outpost or whatever ^_^

What would be nice is if your mining ships could use your allies' stations to unload their cargo. You'd give 5% of the matierials to them, but it would be convienent.
