Torpedo Limits

I think that's going too far. It is not the maingoal to be absolutily realistic. My thoughts - for limited torpedo cargo and the associated drain of torpedos during firing - is to give more smaller starships the capability to hold a torpedoluncher. If you read 'bout the forum some ppl want that for a variety of reasons (canon, balance, more macro).

1) saber class can get a torpedoluncher with double silver rang and confined space to hold about 20 torps. Yeah, I know that not mutch and it's maybe unrealistic but it's fit.

It's not easy to find a solid line to make that idea functional. If you choose to a big maximum-storage the effects of micro that new feature will be vanish. Your totaly right the passivs of the e1 is a realy good base to develop a system like this.
I agree with you the shipyard ain't the place to refill torpedos but yet it also recrew you so it seems to be a easy way for me. Your idea with a passiv ability for some stations are great. The same way like the borg station work - ye ye! I think freighters may not the best deal. If we say the mining station or manufactory got this role (also the starbase) it seems logical to put torpedo-turrets around here (kling, fed...). This could even be a weakness of the Federation [some ships limited torpedoes], with ships like newtons and novas providing resupply to nearby ships. Would be another unique aspect of them.

I too think that the smaller and older designs should be limited on torps. Borg exempt ofcourse.

Awsome idea, someone should make this happen in a mod. You would have to make the torpedos do more damage though, and figuring out how to limit them would be a issue, but i'm sure someone with the knowhow could make it work quite nicely. It would totally change everyone's stratagy, making ship placemt and resupply alot more important then it is right now...Love the idea!
