Too Few Credits!

In Beta2 there were too few credits available to races, this was true especially for the borg & feds. :cry:
this gave other races eg klingons a big advantage
will these credits be used in version 3????

if so perhaps the creaters could put in an option to increase number of cred 2 more than just 10. :)

yes credits will be used in v3 and will be max 30, and default 20
but than again credit station/ships will be more expencive

i think 10 nebs or 10 steam runners or 5 gals or 3 descents is a good limit and when you can have a access stright past a players defences thats priceless! admitedly i think the borg could have a little cheaper stuff (credits wise) but i really like how the credits are atm tbh

20 is enough but yes I think heared Optec say once that u will be able to increase or decrease credits :)

I can understand why they would have such a limit on credits in FO, and that's meant to make things more competitive gamewise.

Related credits question:

Does the credit limit take into account credit-costing ships you get through a means other than building?

For instance, if i was a borg player and i had used up all 30 of my credits on borg stuff, could i still go and assimilate a Dominion Hyperspace Artillery unit (MWA HA HA HA!), even though it would take me way over my limit?

indeed you can, it simply takes you over your credit limit for ex. if hyperspace costs 6 cred. and you have 30 max, than you have 36/30 credits.

U can do that in beta 2, so I guess u will be able to do it in v3 too :)

I'm glad it isn't the case. I've always liked grabbing a few assimilators or cubes and going "shopping". You can get some real bargins off some people :lol:

Back to topic: I really like the credits idea, it suceeds in adding more strategem to the game, which is the objective of FO. Do you want to have all the intelligence center goodies, or should some Tavara's be ready for that fusion cube? Also, it allows a player to customise their fleet slightly to suit their tactics.
