To Be Or Not To Be

Hey all


As iv'e been reading though the forums i seem to found a reoccuring problem. which iv'e decided to make to a new point off. Everyone here seems pritty much **** bent on getting the Prometheus class into the game which is great by me as i'm all for it esspecially as its such as great futuristic looking ship. Now some of us wish it to replace the Descent class, which with no offense mean't to the creator of this ship but it's the biggest pile of dump i have ever seen. as it just doesn't look the part. esspecially when it looks like a bad jigsaw puzzle gone wrong (only an opinion)

Now again a problem has arisen as most off you don't believe the Prometheus Class to be a dreanought as such, and again i agree with that as its more of a heavy cruiser, but althought it has certain qualities that can make a dreadnoght for example MVAM. (3 ships in 1) Now the ship i'm about the mention is still not classed as a dreadnoght but it may fit the bill for soem of you and that is that of the Achillies Class which yeah is a heavy destroyer but in terms of dreadnoght and fire power you can't come much closer.

Trek-universe it might not be a dreadnaught but we seriously want to replace the ugly "Descent" class...and the Prometheus would make a good dreadnaught The Achillies looks like an altered prometheus slapped together with an intrepid Not saying that's a bad thing, looks nice, but I still like the Prom. better

actually the achillies is an "advanced" cruiser, so it's pretty much the same as the Prometheus. but as kobol said: "but I still like the Prom. better ", i'd have to agree. sorry REM_Jupiter. mind if i call you just REM or jupiter?

Your all against me noooo , Nah thats kool. I didn't mention the other ship in consideration though. "THE TITAN CLASS" as thats huge even compared to the soverign and galaxy classes just another suggesttion..

nah you have one supporter i would prefer the achillies because think about it the Prommy was a one of its class type vessel

so leave that as a map object or for a mission or something i want the achillies cause i always found that ship cool starting with starship creator back a few years ago

or was it DS9 the game where its like a cheap rip of SFC?

You know i think this might be kinda on the right track, why are people trying to replace the descent when you can just scrap it and add other ships further down the techtree to balance it out.

Apart from that I wouldn't mind seeing a FleetOps Titan not the crappy Cannon design though it looks trerrible

I think the ideas people are comin up with are great if i had to choose then i would rate the achillies and titan class in over the decent class any day because i think it will add to the hole future concept, and simpley as there both pritty kool ships.

In regards to the Prometheus class have it as a hero ship yeah in single player missions or sumit like have it re act the voyager mission or sumit. but i would still like to see it added even in a small role for the multiplayer aspect such as a testing ship for the additional technology for other ships.


For example have it so its docked with the jupiter station model and when research is complete there the prometheus undocks so it can do a test run.. sounds crazy i know.

Wow, look what happens when you sit on an intrepids saucer then attach it to the battle part of a seperated galaxy class and attach some fancy bits . lol sorry i just dont like it I wanna see something new and powerfull. I think I shall have a look round for some decent designs.

i hate random kitbashes its like people have no imagination

this one isnt a kitbash but does look weird and could be used if redesigned well as a torpedo cruiser

That titan class is ugly, it's an expanded intrepid bridge with weird blue nacelles on the sides...Kitbashes for the most part are ugly...Where did that name "kitbash" come up I wonder...hmm, anyway, Ever seen a Jupiter Class? Not the prettiest ship, looks like an overweight sovereign, but it's still pretty cool, I like the crew compliment (8000! O_o)...It'd have to be huge I don't know, it's actually not all that pretty, but not all starfleet ships are pretty...look at the Miranda, or the saber...anyway, seems like it'd be a good dreadnaught.
