Steamrunner Refit?

I think this steamrunner design looks far more in line with the Fleet Ops style than the current one.
Perhaps this could be a new mixed tech ship? The Steamrunner II or some other name?

ahem, well personally, i think itd just be good for that adition to the shipyard that the team is looking for for feds, (mentioned in another post)

cus as of now, there is only one unique mixed tech unit, personally, i wish miranda 2 was in the shipyard, but this looks like a great model, and maybye later on we get some other mk 2s, ambadsador, galaxy, etc.

To me it looks like a high-speed assault ship.  The Miranda-II takes hits and forces through, like a classic blockade-runner...this thing looks like a blockade breaker.  Race forward, hit like a freight train, and fast enough to get out before getting waxed.

After all, it looks more like a sports car than a warship.

I see this as more of a general purpose cruiser, maybe a support ship? I dunno,it's nice but doesn't quite have that fleetops feel (not like some vessels like the remore class  )

i just love it, it could be a very nice offensive ship,(like akira and defiant) of cousre higher defense then normal steamrunner

I think that would make a great mixed-tech unit to acquire from the Romulans. Should probably be similar in function to the current ship, an artillery unit, but maybe one or two Romulan inspired hybrid phaser/disruptor arrays for defense. Nothing you would really use to attack with, but maybe just to help protect it. Add in a cloaking device and maybe some hybrid shield coloring (a greenish tint to the normal federation blue) and I think we have a winner.

Maybe a Romulan mixed-tech that has an area-damage tricobalt instead of the standard ones?

Yeah, I think a few defensive phaser/disruptor arrays would definitely be worth implementing on a ship like this. Nothing too powerful, but would discourage opposing players from sending a couple of fast vessels to take them out when they could get hit from a 360 degree firing ark, especially from a group of them. And, large vessels would also be discouraged since they would be easily hit by the torpedo fire.

Well if you want romulan mixed tech, why not stick one of those quadcobalt torpedoes on it (a blue version)?

i just think a steamrunner mk2 or miranda mk2 should be selected for the addition to the smaller yard, the team stated there were looking for a ship, and a steamrunner mk2 would be perfect
