A place to suggest any Starfleet shipname and registries of your own. If based on something real, maybe a link to show what it's based on?

Providing a link to the source or motive behind the name is indeed a good idea

on a sidenote: please avoid "-A" registries and the like

Looks like a good start - a bit of buried history is always fun

USS Hadron NCC-2376 (Does it need a link? See if you can work out how I got the registry. Hint, look at your mobile or home telephone :P)

U.S.S. Wickueler NCC2005 (only for Teutoborg-Class Vessels!)

My favorite, albeit cheap, German Beer. Checkout the Icon!
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wicküler-Brauerei

It also sports the most masculine slogan in the history of ever:
Männer wie wir, Wicküler Bier
(Men like us, Wicküler Beer)

Check this one out:

It is my experience that as the quality of the slogan improves, the quality of the beer decreases. That however is another subject (we need a beer topic).

For the Teutoborg-Class:

True, but Wicküler is a minor brand of Westfalia, it tastes a bit like a herbish Becks and gives a great headache. But it builds character :)

K_Merse released a hige list on A2 Files many moons ago. SO if this is all for the new regestry system, I would look here for a huge list of names, some even for current FO ships like the Galaxy, Centaur, Nova Refit and so on.

As for mine:
  • USS Midway NX-87973
    USS Leyte Gulf
    USS Legacy
