Some Ideas To Make The Mod Better

Well, it truly has been a while since I last trolled the forums of FO.
All of these ideas are grand, and exciting.
But one must think to one's self, are they impossible?
And many trek fans...such as myself find Kitbashing to be a rape of true Star Trek.
I don't want to see uber ships.
Especially for the federation.
Also, to be frank.
There are severe limitations upon the Engine of FO (The Armada II engine)*, to make alot of these ideas impossible.
And trust me, the FO Crew, they are amazing, but they do not work black magic. You're never going to be able to see a totally customized ship in FO...unless you start modding yourself.

Hi! I'm a newbie at the forums so be patient... I made a new topic because I have some ideas, and I was lazy to search for the right topic to write these. I didn't tested the FO much, but I had to write these:
Interface/Options
-The mapping of the shortcuts in-game
-Mp3 playing from a specified folder
Visuals/Sounds
-Maybe adding some stardust to the environment
-More cruising shuttles to the bases
-Blur, more anisotrophic filters, etc.
-A bit louder responds to the Dominion side
Gameplay
-Adding derelict ships and bases to the environment: There would be main faction/smaller faction ships and stations at some maps, like Ferengi, and other ships
-Adding a Collection base --> It shows the discovered shipwrecks and derelict ships, and you can buy them from marauders/ferengis... The ships from the collection base are not full healthed, and a bit weaker than the others, but they can be upgraded with faction specific weapons/gadgets. They would be also cheaper
-Make a Prometheus class, which can detach 2 components
-Make the borg ships bigger, stronger, and much more expensive

I'm no modder, so I don't have the knowledge to comment on the first 2 sections (exept for the dominion voice thing), but here is my opinion and what I know on the gameplay sugestions:
1) & 2) Derelict ships (both placed and purchasable) will be present in v3.
3) Ooo the prommy in a whole other debate which we dont need to start on this topic.
4) Borg ships (as rhaz said) will be jazzed up into unstoppable juggernauts for the full v3 release.
