-A gravity generator that causes a wide area slowdown of ship movement.

-Splash damage, more than some ships already in v2 ^^ against masses of small ships like Sabre Class.

- let the bigger ships be worth to build ( at a closer look to the Romulans and the absolutly overpowered Rienn Class)

- a unit limit not just for hero ships.

i like the gravity generator idea, but its like the federations temperal distortion.

the feds TD stops ships dead, an alteration of this powers files may make it possible to do what you are saying.

not really inside a completely new odf for it you could put in a speed modifier, just like what carrying latinum did for the mining friegters in stock A2 :) .

Or, ahem, you could copy the gravity affect from planets and put them into ships...but errrrr, you didn't hear that from me ;)

that doesn't really do anything to the impulse engines though right, or at least i haven't noticed it do anything else but disable warp :sweatdrop: .

They all sound good, but I think the unit limit should be optional.

Totally disagree wit the unit limit ur suggesting, the way the game is atm (and as all RTS games shud be) is that if you put the effort into your economy you will have enuf resources to build a truly MASSIVE fleet.

The more you put it, the more you get out.

Players shud be seperated and made better/worse by their decision making in the game in regards 2 military AND economy. Any kind of population/unit cap means that you pretty much take the economical side of the game away, sooooo 2D.

well the economical side without the unit cap is already being acchied in V3 because ther will be supplies you need to guard well.

It I want to have an economical challege, I'll turn it on. If I want to kick some serious Borg rear end without worrying about my economy, then I can turn it on. The same works for everyone else, too, so there is no reason not to have an "unlimited supplies" option.
