I figure those in charge aren't to fond of the input for ship ideas because they are tired of the Galaxy class thing. The Galaxy being a warp in makes sense, if you make one ship build able why not make them all? This is why the Galaxy must stay in warp in because otherwise who would use it?
regarding warp in I had an idea, you can get the orig. excelsior class. why not the original miranda class?
It would be a light destroyer.
Base attributes (not system attack def. etc.)
- ECM suite
- two phasers (foward firing only)
- two torpedo launchers (one forward on aft)
- probe
Veteran attributes:
- no warp in cost
- system values increased (by however much)
- type X phaser
- Modified hull plating, takes less damage from beam wepons (or hardened shields)
Another Idea is the Ageis Frigate from armada 2 (i think that is what it is called)
Base attributes:
- Long range phaser bank (high powered, fires on shot, and then a second directly after followed by a 4-6 second delay for balancing issues)
- Lower shields than comparative ship classes
- Special ability: Shield Remodulation (resets shields at 70%, not available once shields are completely down)
Veteran Attributes:
- gains a two forward firing torpedo launchers.
- No warp in cost
- increased attributes
- hardened shields (or something to slightly buff its damage resistance)
The assumption with the prior veteran info is that the ship has reached its maxed level. If this is a bad idea due to to many ships so be it, but id really like to see either or both in future patches.
I brought this up because I kinda got tired of getting excelsiors and ambassadors only in warp in, i mean i do get the other stuff but it seems to happen allot.
comments, changes, ideas for ships and stations... put them here.

From the guide
In the Fleet Operations timeline, the original Miranda is no longer in active Starfleet service. These ancient vessels were disassembled, destroyed during the Dominion War (you see hundreds of Mirandas explode), or were damaged beyond repair or salvage operations. Thus they are now left in a lonely scrapyard somewhere in the galaxy. The Miranda will not become a Warp-In, as it was already old and obsolete by the time even the Excelsior was produced. It's like fielding a catapult in modern warfare. The Miranda will appear some day, but neither as a buildable nor as a warp-in craft.

Im am also aware of the excelsior 2 refit, then why do we get a warp in excelsior class? so why not a miranda?

The Excelsior II is not a refit
. The Excelsior that is warp-in is a War Refit and is substantially younger than a Miranda in any case (which was already old when the Excelsior was being produced). All of this is explained in my previous post as well as in the guide though

then design a miranda refit. look, it seems like you're trying pretty hard to shoot hits down thus i take it you're involved in the production of this game. I'd like to get some additional input from other people.

I'm not involved in this mod and I am trying to be as unbiased as possible
. I'm just directing you to the information that has already been provided
. In the end, what goes into the mod is up to the developers, and they have already made it clear in the other "Miranda request threads" that the Miranda will not be coming back as it does not fit the timeline.
The Aegean incidentally is on the to do list (if you look in the "tasks remaining" link on the Fleet Ops home page

though this is off topic, any time I try to create a new prof on game spy it tell me the pass word that I entered is incorrect regardless of the changes I make. Any idea as to why?

No problem
I've heard about this issue before, but I am not certain how to resolve it. Why don't you play on Tunngle with us instead?

How? I read that it was selectable but how would I select it? it has the option of network (IP), or gamespy.. maybe im over looking something...

okay so if I just put my name and a random password I can log in without creating a prof, however there is not an option to change what site I use to play on.
