No need to do a video: just record the time.... although I think Mal and I already did something quite similar a ways back.

I believe Warp-In takes between 2-3 minutes to set up in the fastest period. That equals 3 (almost 4) Disrupter Rhienns, 1 Assimilator, 1 Sang' + 1 KbeajQ (almost 2 kbeajQ) or just 2 KbeajQ, (if these specific routes are chosen of course), 3 Shrikes, 4 Sabers... etc

Visual evidences are always an added boost to an already good argument, young Dominus :D.  You'll learn that when you graduate  :whistling:.

That warp-in will also be accompanied by at least 2 or 3 sabers as well.  Not to mention that the second warp-in is only another 180 seconds away, during which time only a few more ships can be put out by the opponents.

Warping-in does have risks: 3 ships, by themselves and no gaurantee that you'll get exactly what you need - you may just have to retreat and hope you don't loose your ships.

I'll agree that warp-in is almost a non-choice, and I wouldn't be opposed to the choice to go non warp-in be made more viable.

my 2 cents

Let me just point out that Saber spam out of two Antares Yards (instead of early SF Command) works extremely well for Mayson (although still not as effective as Warp In in some cases), it's Risner that I'm worried about... I'd reaaaaally like for her not to be made even weaker early game, especially considering that her already weak Saber is going to be made more pitiful because the odf's were incorrect about the miss chance (currently it has a leg up on the Mayson one for that reason). I can think of some go arounds however, but they won't match up to Warp In until later, that's for certain (i.e. dil mining/antares --> tri mining/engineering --> 1st chassis/antares+saber+monsoon or intrepid special --> intrepid/monsoons from both antares).

I know visual evidence is good - but sometimes unnecessary or too time consuming. Your choice here of course :)

Indeed, Dom.  I would like to see the warp in change happen during the federation redo, where those issues can be addressed.  Didn't optec say they didn't particularly like the current style and had plans to change it?  Maybe if warp in was pushed back further in the tech tree a little, those early yard vessels would get a boost, or it would be easier to field monsoons or something.  Then risner wouldn't have any problems.  I wonder if just building star fleet engineering could give access to monsoons, this would be a quick way to tech up to interceptors that would have some early game power, plus having pulse turrets already helps.  Between the two it might be ok.
