The Federation gets to Warp in some ships from god-knows-where, but what about other races? Is it possible that other races could have re-inforcements?

The Romulans could get assistance from the Garidian's, a race of honorable warriors who are on good terms with them.

Oh, come on! The whole point of FleetOps is to give each race a unique feel and gameplay style.

Is it unrealistic that only the Feds can call in other ships? Of course.

Do other races need to copy that feature? No. Especially not the Romulans who are powerful enough the way they are.

maybe after resarching 3 other species in the mixed tech yard you coul build one scimitar for 20 Stars :)

Scimitar was a one-off ship, the Garidians are a (non-canon) race.

I'd never even heard of the Garidians!

The only time I've ever seen the Garidians was in Star Trek : A Final Unity back in DOS days. I still have that disc lying around, nearly got it to work in DOSbox once.

I think the Garidians are unique to A Final Unity (and armada2files.com). If you put in the right search, you can get an installer that allows it to run in XP without a disk.

roms are cool the way they are.
Having them ally with another race to this level, kinda spoils the whole romulan isolationist/xenophobia thing that was started in TNG and pushed through to DS9 (after they only allied when it suited their interest, and then 2 made rather selfish and egotistical partners).

Prefer to leave the roms, feds, klings, and borg non-allied. At least not in the sense of ship cross overs.

Garidian ships are Romulan ones painted white/grey with a strange red pattern. They even use D'deridex class, Romulan Cloaking devices and also are likely to be related to the Romulans & Vulcans.

And where in the hell are they shown in the shows?

Just curious, as I don't recall white/grey d'derix class ships. :P

That said, I think the romulans are fine.

Warp-In will stay a Federation-only gameplay feature, but mercenaries and neutral stations will follow in a future version, we are working on it  :sweatdrop:

They are in the game Star Trek TNG: A Final Unity.

You can see 2 of their ships in the game intro; http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=PwMVZJ5sawo

Speaking of which, is the Warbird grey or very light brown?
