Brace yourself. Once it's out, there will likely be a few 'Make the New Orleans buildable' threads.

Akira in Eraudi would be nice, always seemed a bit expensive, powerful, and advanced for being in a yard that produces Intrepids and cannon fo-err...useful monsoons. Also I would love the Excel-II and Defiant switch. Feds would finally have a non-support (Canavarels are cool, but a bit weak for frontline or even raiding ships), non-warp-in pulse ship
. Excel-II using same level chassis as a Monsoon is just weird.
Maybe some of the maps that come with FO could include McKinley yards? Or are there maps like that already?

It doesn't ...
Excell II doesn't require ANY chassis, just the Eraudi yard.
Akira requires chassis 2 and provides a strong baseline cruiser to be produced out of your weaker yard while you play with the powerful ships from the Eraudi

Trust the Boggzy: "you'd hate that".

just a question, could u leave the life support system of a derelict at 1% so if u beamed abord u would need to beam a lot of crew to repair life support long enough to get the recrew option to appear.

myleswolfers wrote:actually generix support refits can be spammed earlier usually, and they have plasma bolt, each bolt will disable weapons for ages, and each ship has enough energy for multiple bolts. the disruptor bombardment is really just a tractor beam that knocks out weapons lol. chargh has combat tractor beam which is good. borg ships can have holding beam, which works similarly. defiant has critical shot which is like plasma bolt. sovvie and war frigate take out engines. plenty of ways to stop that sphere sneaking off to regenerate. kvorts get engine disabling weapons when they rank
Borg system values recover from all of those except the combat tractor beam, holding beam, and disruptor bombardment very quickly. And only Disruptor Bombardment keeps them from slamming a graviton torp down your throat and a few nanites up your nose.

Subsystems can already be disabled for an amount of time set when the unit is placed. I don't think it actually works yet, but it could keep the station off balance if fixed.
