those cloaked defiants can munch on miners so hard with their pulse weapons, they can ignore the few turrets people use, and when they rank up they get torps, which they can use as part of your main fleet. and use critical shot more due the the system value increase that romulan tech gives. plus it scares the s**t out of your enemy, never knowing when their miners may die horribly.
