Reduce Defiant build time to a more reasonable number.

The Defiant takes 133 seconds to build currently. That's a full 18 seconds longer than a Sovereign.
Of non-mixed-tech vessels, only the Tavara, Phalanx, and Dodecahedron take longer to build :o. This is especially bad since the Defiant's main purpose is in fighting small vessels, many of which can almost be built twice in the same time as the Defiant.
I request a reduction in the build time, maybe to 112 or 120 seconds.
Also I think the resource usage is a bit off compared to the Sovereign, being that it costs the same supply (which is really weird since it has a lot less space and crew) and about the same dilithium (which actually does make sense) and tritanium (again it's a lot smaller than the Sovereign, where is all that tritanium going?)
Maybe a small tri and supply cost reduction, tho that's less important to me than the build time issue (build time affects battles more due to numbers of ships.)

Resources are just game balance and the Defiant is a battleship, so it makes sense from an ingame perspective. Not like the canon Defiant was ever very big on numbers, even after going into proper production; only 5 have been seen during 2 series.
Still, a small cut to the time shouldn't hurt too much.

Maybe the Dilithium cost could be increased further to make up for the build time decrease?
Also, we saw a prototype of it used in the series, maybe if the Defiant required a prototype, like Dominion ships, to be built. Probably would take away a little from the uniqueness of the Dominion, but would make the Defiant harder to get initially.
Want this tough little ship? Invest a lot into getting it.

Having a higher dil cost would make canon sense as well since the Defiant had a warp drive that would have easily powered a much larger ship...

result of this was that the defiant was limited to warp 9.5.
maybe cost increase in trade for time, would make sense. The Sovreign should be a end of the line ship, not the defiant and so the sovreign should take longer to build, at least in my sight.

Part of it is that it's just such a tough ship to kill.
Another reason is that, if you've ever seen it, massed Defiants murders almost everything. Doesn't matter if the pulses do less damage because the little suckers just mob everything.
I agree that they take a long time, but if you're so incensed on making other things then set up another Eraudi

i always build a defiant before sovvie, as the defiant is just amazing. i mean its special weapon alone almost completely justifies its construction.
and when it ranks up its a complete beast.
i love the romulan mixed tech defiant with cloak
its a shame it takes so long to make them lol. but once you get them they eat miners and shrug off turret fire.
as much as i love them, i dont really wanna see them get much better or easier to get, as then i would just be tempted to try defiant spam.

Defiants are game-changers against any foe, not just early-game ships. Plus, each Defiant can use the ability three times in a row without needing more energy. Even one defiant can neutralize three dreadnoughts long enough for the rest of your fleet to murder them.

Plus Risner's defiant does all kinds of extra damage and has all that extra energy.

i think it is ok now, it is extremely powerful, but takes so long to make, that if your enemy lets you build them unchallenged they deserve the death that they receive. i love the defiant, please dont nerf it, but dont make it better either.
