Quick ideas (Mostly Borg)

I think the Assimilator Avatar should get almost direct combat abilities that are good for fightinmg and assimilation while the Optimize-Avatar should be building up ships very fast with very few costs and will be very "regenerative".
So the upgrade for stations should be something for the assim-avatar, not the optimize avatar.
Also the free holding beam module shouldnt be put into the ships but should be a "free" dev for all stations without the cost of reseachring it. Meanwhile, the holding beam for the assim-avatar would be vastly increased, if installed on ships.
To the experience:
One silver bar: Improved regeneration and increased boarding party strength
Two silver bars: Adaptive framework - The Main weapons on a ship will get adapted in order to deal increased damage while the armor gets adapted to resist more damage.
One golden bar: Additional Weapon arrays and fullfilled modularization. You get an additional borg weapon you can "buy" like a refit and you ship is granted one additional slot you can upgrade in the field.
Two golden bars: You ship will gain a second module-slot, where you can upgrade it and you will get an additional borg-defense-system, you can "buy" for the ship, like a refit.
This goes for ALL borg ships.
A two-golden bar borg ship will under the line gain two additional module-slots, one offense and one defense "refit" (you know the romulans? Like a torp oder disruptor refit, but more "borg" like) and an overall increase of stats like we know it should be to be.
I'm thinking about a "special" every borg ship may get for its class. So the diamond would get another special like a sphere... But, that would take some time to balance out.
Attention: While the borg advancements should be really mighty, the time to level your ships up should reflect this. To level up an assimilator to two golden bars it should be the same time you need to level up a tavara. They should need MUCH time to do so. But if you gain it, you have a real destructive force.

I could agree with this idea. It doesn't increase ship power any more than a typical upgrade and only the single 'individual' ship can get exp.

i like the borg, like how they need time then steamroll.. but anyway i was thinking perhaps for a certain amount of enemy kills in total? since she commands the ships anyway(other than the player)

Well... I like the idea. Instead of making two golden bars to veteran, in the borg hive, the "veteran" slot always consumes 25 slots, irrelevant to the ship that will recieve it.
On this ship, there will be a queen that will gain... well, what will it gain?
I think the borh should be fearsome. Okay, fleetops is about balance, but I like the idea of "borg... lets go out of here"
