the ultridium burst is no emitter, it's a geometric sprite (a sprite which does not auto rotate to face the camera) and the same way you make an animation for a sprite you can animate textures in geometry look at the unimatrix of flops, the green lights are "animated" geometry textures

I looked at the unimatrix in both sod viewer and seen the 3 textures that goes with it.Thats a cool effect that you have there with the lights "texture" pulsing green like that.Theres a similar one in the transwarp hub as well.
Are the textures "called" from a sprite entry somewhere like the photon textures we are familiar seeing or is there a node or point on the model itself from 3d max?

Its the first I have seen on a armada model so I am on unchartered territory here.

nope it's just geometry
you can assign an animation to a model by using command nodes, no sprite entry is involved.

you should check the readme file of the armada sod exporter plugin for 3dsmax, i think it is described there

I think I need to reread the sod text lol.

I have been looking at other models and some of the feds have something similar in regards to texture anim's.Very nice Optec.

Great job on the mods FO,

Definitely the best out there and by far.

I think you guys should also be grateful for a community that offers a lot of great ideas.

However I can imagine them being annoying sometimes as well. Try doing a search on how many times they've asked for a release date, while specificly told not to do so.

Dedicated fans, can't live with them, can't live with them.

I would really like an alliance between Noxter and 8472. Both species mating and forming a new one...
