I would agree with Nebula if it was a Klingon repair ship, but it's not so that wouldn't suit Starfleet much. That kind of size would only make sense if it was to recrew ships as well, which it doesn't.
Size is meaningless for a Starship.

Nononononono! I know what you are thinking, but an Olympic Class Medical vessel may not be well armed, but it is not an out-dated vessel thereby they'd still be building it thereby that it would not be a warp-in! I personally think that the Warp-in should strictly be to TNG ships or further back...

the olympic class appeared only in TNG
just thought i'd pull apart your comment using semantics.

Maybe it could be some kind of advanced construction ship available from warpin.

I'd rather that only Construction ships be used for construction.

Speaking of which, I'd like to see a Klingon repair ship. They do tend to suffer from losing subsystems on K'Vorts a lot.
Larger ships in Star Trek have always been shown to be more powerful than their smaller counterparts, with the Defiant as a major exception due to very thick plot armor. Would you expect an Intrepid to perform as well as a Galaxy in battle?
I would love to see something a little thicker and more rounded replace the Newton. Maybe just a new model.

Larger ships have more brute force because they either have more weapons, are from a more advanced race or are Borg. That doesn't prove to be much use becuase smaller ships are harder to hit. Size makes the ship easier to hit, which also means they'll take damage faster.
When the Intrepid first came out it actually would out perform a Galaxy; it's sensors were more advanced, the computer worked faster and the Warp core was better (if the Galaxy wasn't upgraded).
Brute force doesn't make up for experience and there's more to 'power' than force.

Why do I get the feeling that a Klingon 'repair' ship.... would be simply be equipped with some sort of killing weapon, in lieu of an actual repair beam?

It repairs ur ships by using a stolen Borg slicing beam weapon to carve out the enemy's hull, then it uses the transporter to rearrange the hull so it can be used to repair ur vessels. It can also fire a special weapon that disables life support on an enemy vessel for one minute (to allow u to easily cut up their ships.)
