Old Hotkeys!

well i was kinda hoping you'd be nice and share it but if you made the tools yourself you dont need to at all, but could you be nice and just give the name of the file you edit anyway, i know its not an FO file cuz armada 2 does their tool tips the same way, and i know your busy modding and doing your own work but it wont take you more then ten secodns to reply and add just one more setence to a post rather then be short but sweet.

anyway thanks for any help you cna give and carry on with your great work.

ok Tpairs, go to your fleet ops directory and open up the file called input.map with word pad, and then just edit the short cuts to be what u want

it shouldnt matter if you change the hot keys should it? im pretty sure that isn't one of the files that are checked by the gamespy online checker, but then im new to modding this so i could be completely wrong

hm good question never tested if the hotkeys would change the gameversion we will take a look at it

im absolutely sure that hotkeys were clientside on stock A2... i cant see why anyone would want them serverside...

hmm noobish jan? than how come baron and me won so many many many times by not using hotkeys?

you just do your thing and stop with the insults okay
besides you lost one too many games againt me and baron, so what does that tell about you? taking into account that using just the graphic interface is so very noobish.

Calm down.

Just because you beat him online doesn't make you the better person or give you right to boss him around.

Likewise, just because Jan was right (and he was) doesn't give him the right to insult you.

emm who said anything about being a better person? who was bossing anybody about? i was just responding about the noob statement, at least he could have called me newbie, much less offencive and i'll stop now, i just don't know from where you drew that statement

you can manage just fine WITH YOUR MOUSE

i laughed louder and longer than a henya when i read that! and its true too! i don't use the hotkeys after building a couple of contructors and mining stations, i don't even know the rest of them! F1 keys for everything a builder can build sounds fantastic if the mouse batteries happen to run out, will look into that file mentioned above ^_^

nope, changing the hotkey file (input.map) should not affect the multiplayer CRC. so feel free to make changes there.

so we can fix the errors with the kvort and vorcha hotkeys by ourselves? thats good to know.

also how deep and complicated is the hotkey system? is it easy to avoid "double booking"?
