in the uk, yeah. on dave they show it every now and then (i don't think it has a regular schedule). new series is on dave in september, bbc kinda gave up on red dwarf (not that they ever really put much effort in to begin with).

But if you REALLY must put them into mod, I would like to see them as little as possible. They would be a nice 1v3 race, where fighting them would be like fighting the Shivans, and where they would only be played occasionally. I might live with that, but as a permanent equally playable race, I thing they would ruin this mod.
This.

I'm not sure what the Noxter can bring FO what the canon races can't. The only aspect would be evolving creatures, but in terms of fleet composition everything is possible with the canon races already:
Dom: a race that relies on numbers and strong nasty weapons
Kli: rely on numbers as well but also on individual honor and strong weaponry
Rom: hide and run tactics
Feds: High-Tech, high defensive fleets
Borg: unbeatable evil, Strong at everything, small numbers
What is left for Noxter? They can't be stronger than Borg, they can't have more numbers than the Dominion(yes they could, but than again why don't give the Dom even more even weaker bugs? I'd like that...), they can't have a hive consciousness(Borg), they can't be better at hide and run than the Roms. And they are biological, so they probably won't have better tech than the Feds
. Oh they could eat up enemies - but then again with proper assimilation technics the Borg could do that as well.
Close combat is the only unique thing I could think of that is not covered by the canon races.
To be honest I'm more interested in time travelling Iconians than in species 8472 copies.

I'm not familiar with the dave network.

Maybe a nasty special against the Romulans that closes the artificial quantum singularity that runs their ships. This may be a dog fight range special that stops the Romulan ship from moving and/or attacking (torpedoes and projectile weapons should still work...for a time). I'm leaning toward having the ship towed to a yard or get triage by a Newton to remove the effect.
Tyler wrote:Their backstory has them using ships as a shell to protect babies, so using them as a breeding gound is where I'd expect it to go.
Then a different Noxter ship special turns the previously mentioned disabled Romulan vessel into a "nursery". One or more Noxter ship types can disable a enemy ship and tow it to the nursery. The nursery sees both ships in proximity and gives you the option to make a new Noxter ship type from the enemy ship type and a close Noxter ship type (a different type than the enemy ship and maybe mix two Noxter ship types). I'm thinking something like the new ship bursts forth from the old one and keeps a few odds and ends of the old ship: a weapon, armor, random design elements.
Now as for new ship types I have one that needs work. Similar to a carrier like the Federation Avalon, but you don't spawn fighters you spawn up to 5 (depending on rank) Venture class scout sized smart bombs.

Howard goodall did that theme, he also did the theme for the vicar of dibley (another awesome show). he's pretty accomplished.
dave is part of the uktv network and has been called other stuff in the past:
