Not Another Romulan Thread!

Heh. My idea was to keep the Transmitter, but Romulan turrets dont need it to work. Boost the values of the turrets, and maybe add another passive (and boost the price abit to make it fair), and if you did build a Transmitter next to a turret, the turret fires more rapidly.

transmitter needs to be able to cloak when cloaking generator is build... *problem solved*

but i must say even with 95 defense and some 40ish system value the transmitter can easily be destroyed even with lots of turrets around it...

If it would become able to cloak, it would be soooo overpowered. Also it would make turtling the most lethal romulan defense because noone could find your turrets and fire on them before the cloak-detectors are destroyed (except for Borg ones and Dominion).

I think it's ok the way it is. The transmitters could bear a defensive passive, but it already can defend against foes in close range. If you research the special weapon.

If the Transmitter was changed, I'd just give it ECM to help a bit with Torpedoes (except area-effects that don't target the enemy directly like the Quadrobalts and Proximity Photon).

I'm not talking about a permanent cloak, i'm talking about a normal cloak that the stations use now, it's not like the singularity gives itself a energy boost,  this is the same case for starbase and cloaking/firing at the same time.

Lol if your enemy has a tactical cube, your base is pretty much toast if your fleet is elsewhere
