Next Generation Fleet Operations?

Well, You never know. The FO team might be able to make the game evolve its way towards independence of the AII engine. You never know. That is why it is called "Next Generation Fleet Operations".

Yep remember Armada2 is based in the BattleZone engine. That is a first person full 3D strategy game.

Not that we even want to do something like that

I'm just implying that we could improve the map system to act similar. Like I said before, we could use a 3 piece map system to have it so that you can just click in a couple of places, it would triangulate and then send the ship to either the exact position or the closet it can towards its calculations.

At this point, the best we could really do, would be to upgrade the tactile view, which in the end would work just like the interface in STDS9:Dominion Wars. *shivers*
