I was wondering if a new Romulan ship would be the Narauda (I probably misspelled it) from the new movie. It won't be buildable, just a new ship that can be added through the map editor. It cannot cloak, but it has got splitting missles wich is cool.
(Though how will FO pull that off without a high poly model?
)
Anyway, your choice. I'm just going to see comments and occasionally respond. But it is up to you and the Devs!

the narada was a refitted mining ship.
It looked kinda ugly IMO. Not at all in line with the sleek and green avian ships we all associate with our pointy eared Deceivers.
IMO the worst part of the new ST movie was the Narada.
You couldnt tell what it was about - just a set of spikes like a giant metal mollusk, with a touch of cephalopod.
And over-sized to boot.
It was just not true Romulan.
maybe as a map object or so, but not more

That was a Mining ship that was (supposedly) augmented with Borg Technology. The design doesn't look very Romulan, either.

i agree its too big, and prob too powerfull and it was made with borg techology at very least if HAD to be done would be a ship that can only be built if allyed with borg, with the borg ally shipyard thing

Well, it can be a map object. Besides, you have to admit it does have some sort of 1337N355. Spliting missles is the thing that can be really cool! Having a torpedo split into 14 smaller ones including the big one is one thing that noone would want to get hit with but what everyone wants to use on their enemies.
It is a ship worth assimilating.

The comic shows us that the Narada looked very Romulan, but went to a secret Romulan facility (ala Area 51) and was given all the spiky tentacle things, which are Borg.
I'm guessing the spikes were from a new type of Borg ship, a Borg "squid" if you will, that was a deviation from normal design, aiming for something organic yet symmetrical.

I'm sorry to say this, but if it wasn't in the movie, I don't buy it. I don't consider books or comics cannon. Unless they explained it in the movie, which they didn't, It is just a dumb Romulan ship design.

Zaxxon! Go easy on him! He still has to learn how we do things around here. Besides, everyone has their own opinion!

But the squidclass would be a great addition to the Borg ... do they call their armada "fleet"?
Just kidding.

Well, we could have two, the movie version and a revised version that the FO team come up with. So we have a movie extract and one that fits FO.

Chill, 1337, I was just giving my opinion. Any way, I do think it would be cool to have a new borg ship. Dunno if a Squid would work, because the borg really stick to Geometric figures, but how about a monolith?

Well, the Narauda is a Romulan ship. Not Borg! (Checked on Wiki) So that rules out the Borg conspiracy.

It is Romulan yes.
But if u look into memory-alpha and memory-beta we see there was retrofitting of the Narada with Borg tech.
While that may be used as an explanation for the size and odd appearance for the ship, I am still uncomfortable that borg tech would be so primitive as those awful missiles that were hit by 23rd century fed phasers.
Compare shield draining weapons of the graviton torp to those missiles... sheesh.. they barely cut away at the kelvin.. it was only due to the number of them that any damage was done.
Agreed romulan tech was crappy with the D'deridex faring miserably in the Dom war, but to have the latest tech that is supposed to make the feds pay for the outrage of Romulus' destruction, and then to see that tech falling flat in front of 23rd century ships is a bit of a farce.
The Narada is therefore left as an anachronism in the entire STU (alternative and prime).. and therefore best left out of FO.
For one would have loved to see a more visually interesting ship instead of a massive space-barnacle.
