I rather like this ship and it was an Intrepid-class concept design.

What do you think this design replacing the Monsoon-class?
You can give it whatever ventral look you like flops team.

Interesting, but I prefer the present Monsoon. This looks like a mixed Federation/Dominion ship.

Looks kinda like a Venture-shape, with nacelles, a roll-bar and a bit sticking out the rear to me...I like it, but at the same time...I dunno, something just looks off about it

Just where did you find that ship?

Looks interesting, I would like to see more.

It would make an interesting ship/class off its own.
By the way, no need to replace the Monsoon it is a good design in its own right, has the potential for a classic. Clean and sleek, I like it as it is.

not crazy about it but i agree that it looks like a dominion mixed tech ship.

i love that ship, i would rather have it as a class of its own however, but i love the fact that it is kinda new, and gets away from the standard design for the feds that we see on almost all fed vessals, it is a new cool design that i think fits in with fleet ops, as it is a more futureistic look, and fleet ops is set in the future, it shows that the feds have taken on a different approach to vessals,

i like the design alot, looks kinda like a light cruised, the size of a intrepid/akira, the speed of an excelsior, and the firpower of a akira

I admit that it could be better suited to a mixed tech ship as a result of Dominion tech. Well there already is the Miranda II only buildable from a mixed yard, so why not have one from each?

shadow_from_afc , just look up Intrepid-class concepts on google or something and you should find it.

Plus I think that is the only image of the design. Of course the flops team is welcome to alter it as I do see that some improvements can be made to the design.

looks like a rather small unit, perhaps a light cruiser or heavy destroyer :) i will note it down, perhaps we can use it some day for something

To me it looks like a newer version of the miranda class tall portion.

The front part well.. Maybe I am being too honest but it looks like a dust-buster. lol  ^-^

The back half has promise!

maybye it could be a replacment for the nebula class, with a customizable pod on the back

It just looks like a crossbreed of other Fed ships, a non-balanced, non-sleek one...

I don't care for it...glad they went with the Intrepid we all know and love.

The Vivace-class DJ Curtis designed for Bridge Commander looks a much better mixed-tech for Federation with Dominion influence, although you would probably need to get permission (if he's still active) to use the design:

The Monsoon-class design definitely isn't my favorite Fleet Ops original build, but is it really a priority considering that the team has entire factions left to complete?  :sweatdrop:

the viovace would be a good intrepid 2, as for the model that started this post, we need somthing like it, because its different, and im getting sick of seeing

The vivace definitely looks like a cross between nova and intrepid. Would really be a cool mixed-tech ship.

As for Federation ship layout, primary hull (saucer) in front with nacelles parallel to the secondary hull is traditional Federation design. It shouldn't resemble every class, agreed, however I believe the majority of Fed ships should have this traditional look.

In canon, the only ships that don't reflect this seem to be defiant and oberth to an extent. Most other designs seem to variations on basic constitution or miranda class starships, if you think about it enough, maybe with added nacelles or structures bolted on, but the shapes are still there.

The Vivace reminds me of the Century.
