I think it should be a veteran ability of a Borg Mixed Tech Intrepid. That'd make it pretty super rare to offset the power of Ablative Armour.

That sounds good.  It could replace its weapon with a transphasic torpedo that does triple damage against borg.

yep there are some plans to have the "Voyager Armor" appear in the future within a new feature, but not on a regular basis ^-^

How about a random feature, 1 out of let's say every 10 ships has the armor, and they only get transphasic torps with veteran status.

I would like to see it in Fleet Ops but only on the Voyager itself as a hero class, tho I dont think the makers are thinking of adding hero classes anytime soon.

That's exactly what veterans are. But damn I wish I could rename them myself. I bet that's impossible though :(

Yeah, that is a really good idea, however, probably not in a Borg mixed tech yard because, it was invented by the Feds, from the future, so maybe as an upgrade for ships and stations, along with the transphasic torpedo.

I really dislike the idea of any time-traveled ships at all, because they are some kind of everything van happen event. If one could gain a voyager from future, why can't any race do so, as any race would experience the developement of timemachines sooner or later. And why wouldn't the feds warpin 10 'voyagers' from future that destroy all bases even before a game starts?

If it was really necessary to introduce such stuff, i would appreciate that there was an upgrade to the SFC, called "time travel buoy" which enables an additional warpin class, the "diachrone distress call" wich supports you with that special intrepid calass or other incentaive stuff like the ugly galaxy X or something like that.

Geez, I know you don't like the ship but does everyone have to insult it at every chance they get?

Well the federation may really be fair enough not to change the history that way. I rather meant the principle. Most fractions or at least a few would do so, and they would surly try to mess up history,  resulting in even nonexistance of earth in times of the dinosaurs.

In other words, the existance of the federation in 2161 could be taken for a proof that time travel does not exist (except in the mind of storytellers who do not look at the whold startrek universe but only on one episode), as there is a nonzero chance that some crazy fed-hater from future would eradicate crochane. This could be resolved by an endless time-war, which is won by the fraction that sent ships farthest to past, but is this a story we wanna have? I doubt it, and thus I force myself to believe that timetravels are only possible for those, who are qualified to change history in the way the overmighty storyteller wants it to be.

This also resolves the problem, that if there was that killer, there was no federation, the fed-hater would not be one, thus not eliminating crochane, thus the federation would exist again, the fed-hater again too, then crochane would die again and so on and so on and so on. You surly understand my reasons for always stating my disgust for such things, but as I see so many people loving to be blind at those things I even proposed a suggestion myself.
