Enough variety for an RTS? Hardly. Very very hardly.

I think it would be nice for a mixed tech ship certainly. I must point out RedEyedRaven, that the Romulan's "Defiant" is the Rhienn line

It could pose as a Heavy Cruiser. Though one thing i find is that the Rommies have a way of getting battleships early. So maybe this can be lower in the techtree like everything else.

ugh, I always thought it was an ugly ship, but Ziech and the team can do wonders for a model, so I have nothing against having another ship in the game

You must not, because I know that.
You seem to have misunderstood that I talked about the Nierrh in the way it generally is described as. The only FO-related statment I made was that there's actually no need for the Nierrh because in FO the romulans actually have equally used ships.

Well i forgot there is the Rhienn, which i can have with torpedoes the time i could have d'deridexes too.

The Nierrh would have equal stats to some other romulan designs which are FO-specific... it will add nothing.

The FO romulans' Defiant-copy is the fed-mixed Generix Frigate. So the Nierrh is pointless if its original purpose is kept in mind.

I don't mean to nitpick, but this is what you said, hence why I was pointing out that the Rhienn is the Defiant (yes, the Fed mixed-tech Generix gets critical shot, but even though special abilities are transferred - say the Shield Recharge to the C-11 - it doesn't make them complements that way... otherwise a certain Generix could also be complementary to a Borg vessel  ). No need to further carry on the conversation, I was just explaining what I thought you meant. Communication can be difficult over the Internet

I think the communication difficulty could be explained by the fact that I more talk in my personal view of what I have experienced ingame, while you judge it by the FO-guide's facts.
Both is not wrong or bad, so it's okay to me.
