How will re-fit models be handled?

Okay im a little confused here, i thought that repalce weapon was what controlled...... for lack of a better word...... saucer seperation.....

So are you saying that, that is what will hapen with refit models, the new model will just appear and go over the top of the old model?

Saucer seperation was similar to replaceweapon, except hardcoded to 2 models with specific names. Both replace the model, not show over the old one.
