Indeed she is not (though she tries, really, she does!
) , and indeed Martok still is strongest

Well as many have already said "honor system" while klingon through and through just doesnt seem right for taqy....
Why not just have the battle yard have an Imperial yard extension? keep the tech requirments intact and just give the option to build on an imperial yard extension for a reasonable amount.

Now THERE'S a freaky idea: have the klingons build only 1 yard, that can then either turn into a field yard with extensions, a battle yard, or an imperial yard. Maybe let them decom the extended yard for half the resources and turn the base into a different one. Freaky.
Completely separate from that and the honor debate, I think the simplest solution is to decrease the cost of the Imperial Yard and large cloaking devices. Right now they're prohibitively expensive.

I like this idea. I think the build button for the Imp yard would be a subtle reminder to tech up, and that it wouldn't feel like that much of a jump to build the extension.

I think you misread, unless you mean you're coming up with your own idea. I think just 1 yard would be too powerful, and also would make it really annoying with assims (they assim your fied yard core, then you lose all three yards.)

Concerning honor: I'd like a system similar to medieval 2 where you could have a kind of positive and negative honor. Negative meaning you are feared and will kill everything, positive meaning you are a brave knight that will protect the weak and fight glorious until death. With positive you'd be supported by the empire - cheaper ships, battleships; with negative you'd be supported by the Romulans - better cloak, faster speed. Don't know how it could be implemented though
. Right now honor is partly represented by supplies. You kill stuff, your house gets supported by the empire through supplies.
Concerning a new battleship: I don't know why there should be one. The one(in fact it's two since Vutpa also counts as battleship right?) we have is great all around but nevertheless not built very often. The NeghVar is not bad, it's just a problem of the tech tree as mentioned several times now.
For a short time solution: I think the Klingon tech tree should be more flexible, you should be able to skip a battle yard. I'd suggest the following: make the Imperial yard available after field yard so that one may decide whether to take battle or Imperial yard. Make the weapon depot buildable after battle yard or Imperial yard(that way you can easily move to Vutpa, skipping Vor'cha if you want that or even enable a fast NeghVar strat). Since the Neggie is perfectly balanced and can easily be countered by short range I don't think there would be a problem if it could reach the field at a similar time like the Vor'cha(or later, since Imp yard and weapon depot are still more expensive than battle yard/armory).

I like the idea of making Klingon techtree more flexible with having imperial yard right after field yard.
It solves the problem of not being able to reach battleship stage like other factions.
Sometimes when I think about it, I don't even mind Klingons only having one large battleship. It is a pretty decent ship, and that way you're really encouraged to focus on using your medium vessels to maximum effect. But currently reaching large battleship stage is more difficult than I think it should be for Klingons. I will always be partial to adding a large battleship though, Vutpa being medium, yes?
So I guess the idea isn't taking, BUT, and it is a fairly significant but, a new battleship would look rather pretty. I think this fact might not be getting as much consideration as what it could be.

Vutpa' is medium yes. The LuSpet is a large battleship though, even if a Martok-exclusive.

True. Maybe another Taq exclusive one then. Balance things out.

Taqroja doesn't seem to be the one relying on battleship tactics. She's hiding in asteroid fields, attacking from the back. A Chargh which keeps enemies from fleeing makes much more sense. Both avatars have two specific ships, I think that's enough.
Yes the Vutpa is medium sized, but I still think that it counts as battleship. Size doesn't reflect ship class, the sang is a cruiser but small.
