Hero ships

I do not know if this has been sugested before, but i would like to be able to call in from warp "hero" ships. Foe example, the Enterprise-E, queen diamond, etc. The ship would be a bit more powerful than other and would have unique special abilities. The ship couldn't be destroyed, for example if the Enterprise would be "destroyed". Insted for it to explode, have it retreat to warp, and you can not call it again in this battle. I dont know about the building yet (starfleet command for Federation?), and about the credit usage (if anny). So, what do you think.

Thats a great Idea :D :D :D

I think that what you said is perfect but instead of not being able to call on them again, there is a timer that is effectivley how long it takes the ship to get repaired.

and just to add, the heros should be stronger against there nemisis race. i.e Enterprise is stronger against borg, Scimitar is stronger against feds, Martoks ship is stronger against the Dominion, And the Dominion Planet defence ship is stronger against the klingons.

I think that the hero should be amazingly good at taking out his nemisis.

But should cost resources and credits to bring into play.

I would think for multiplayer each avatar have their own hero ships. For example, one federation avatar would have the Enterprise and another perhaps a hero prometheus. For Borg optimization they could have locutus, while the assimilation avatar could have the Queen. The Dominion puretech could have Weyoun in the Dreadnaught and the Breen allies have Thot Pran in a massive Breen Battleship etc etc.

an avitar based hero would be awsome.

In Dawn of War when a hero was present (not all heros) the race got a bonus.

Say that depending of which avatar and then which hero. When the hero is brought into play say ships build a little fast, or resources gather a little quicker. This will encourage people to play their hero and other races to destroy it to gain an advantage.

Similar to the base Class. Like a Flagship Sovereign that gets the Special Weapon from the start, without research and Corbomite Reflector.

Since it is safe to assume the time line for Fleet Ops' story is after A1, characters like Locutus and Weyoun would be dead. Though because the Dominion Puretech Avatar is a picture of Weyoun (and because I find it ridiculous the Dominion could not clone him more even if all his copies died) I think it's safe to put characters like that back into Fleet Ops. Because I have no life.... here are my suggestions:

Federation Multiplayer Hero ships

1. Mayson
Prometheus Class - USS Ganymede
Global Abilities: All nearby ships have better shield regeneration
Ship Abilities: Cobormite reflector. I really loved this ability in A1 and A2, and though it seems improbable, I'd like to somehow see it incorporated again in Fleet Ops.

2. Risner
Descent Class - USS Prelate
Global Abilities: All nearby ships have the sight range of a scout.
Ship Abilities: Tachyon Scan - detects cloaked ships
Remote Probes: Fires an automated probe that scouts the map

Other Federation Heroes for certain maps or instant action
1. Jean Luc Picard - USS Enterprise E (That one was an obvious choice)
2. Thatius Demming - USS Premonition

Klingon Multiplayer Hero ships

1.Martok
Negh'var - IKS Kithomer
Global Abilities: As a Klingon.... it's best to have something that increases the rate of fire to nearby ships...
Ship Abilties: Ion Canon - once again I loved the abilities the battleships had in A1.... I'd love for this classic to come back for Martok's ship.

2.TaQ´roja
New Unique class
Global Abilities: Increased build rate
Ship Abilities: Doubles as a construction ship. Can build all stations.

Romulan Multiplayer Hero ships

1. Helev
Warbird - RMS Firebird
Global Abilities: Ships nearby recharge their special energy faster.
Ship abilities: Shield inverter beam - Just like from A1

2. Mijural
Tavara - RMS Matriarch
Global Abilities: All nearby ships can phase cloak and remain undetected by even tachyon scans (I think this might be too overpowered, but still viable as an option)
Ship abilities: Phase Cloak

Other Romulan Heroes for certain maps or instant action

1. Admiral Sela - Remun Scimitar ( 'cause I love Sela and she would be epic to command that bloody ship)
2. Romulan Preator - D'readar (I always thought this ship look very majestic and would fit as a leader's ship. Judge for yourself: http://www.battleclinic.com/docks/files ... 18f538.png )

Dominion Multiplayer Hero ships

1. Dominion Puretech (perhaps changed to Weyoun, since it's his picture anyway)
Dreadnought
Global Abilities: All nearby ships resist boarding parties, or are unable to be captured.
Ship Ability: Massive Boarding party - the dreadnought launches a series of pods that quickly kill off enemy crew for takeover.

2. Breen Allies (perhaps changed to Thot Gor, since it's his picture anyway)
Breen Mobile Fortress
Global Abilities: Nearby Ships are immune to anything that disables systems. For example the Sovereign's engine overload, poleron torpedoes, or other Breen dampening weapons.
Ship Ability: Dampening assault - launches a series of dampening volleys at multiple targets.

Other Dominion Heroes for certain maps or instant action
1.Thot Pran - Breen Battleship

Borg Multiplayer Hero ships

1. Borg Optimization (changed to Locutus)
Tactical Cube
Global Abilities: All nearby Borg ships can regenerate much faster.
Ship abilities: Nanite colony - places a nanite swarm on the map that continues to replicate nanites and send them across the map.
And a Holding Beam of course....

2. Borg Assimilation (changed to Queen)
Tactical Diamond
Global abilities: All ships can purchase the holding beam module for free.
Ship abilities: Upgraded Holding Beam - a much stronger holding beam that drains crew much faster.

thats all a good idea, not a huge fan of the nanite idea, tho. It could well unbalance the game.

i think in its place should be mass boarding, where the borg effectivly replace an entire crew of one ship, instantly assimilating it, but the trick is, its a random ship in range. So you cant just assimilate the strongest ship, mabye if you against 4 sovvys and an intrepid it may get the intrepid... that would keep the balance :woot:

nice one.
Except - no scimitar for Sela. She belongs on a d'deridex. suits her.
Scimitar only as a pick up map object - It's Reman and does not fit in with mainstay Romulan commanders like Sela - kinda like giving Jabba the hutt control of the death star... doesnt fit
