What about the ships that do not have a 360 degree firing arc? Like the Klingon BOP(Brel  and Kvorts) For those ships  Fleet salvo  where every ship will fire  Torp, mine or phaser or disrupter  on to a  spot designated by the Lead ship .The  lead ship will "paint" a target area and all ships  will fire a spread  around that target area. Any ship in the designated area  will  at the least lose  their cloak the, worst they will  take sheild and  ship damage.[br]Posted on: July 31, 2008, 11:18:57 PM
For the Federation  there could be a Remorae upgrade  for salvo launch of tordedo's.

Hmmm... I was hoping rather that they would take a bit of damage and it would act as a crude sensor to detect if cloaked ships were even there. After the damage was done, the ship would remain cloaked if not too badly damaged  ^-^

The idea of painting a target area seems good  :D

The 360 degree phaser spread sounds cool.  You could probably use a combination of the tachion scan ability and multi target phasers to make it work.  Maybe I will play with some ODFs on V3PR later.  (much later as I am starting a college class, buying a house and working full time at the moment)

Also, someone mentioned cloaking stations.  Wasnt there a post awhile back saying the romulan turrets in V3 could be cloaked by the cloaking generator?  I believe this was supposed to be a reason to make the generator more desirable as many people, including me, tended to just build 2 inteligence centers.  Correct me if Im wrong, I may be thinking of another mod.[br]Posted on: August 01, 2008, 05:50:38 AM
Oh, I almost forgot, one ship that can hit cloaked vessels is the Klingon one with the microtorpedoes

we had some balancing issues with the cloaked turrets, but we are working on bringing their cloak to v3 :)

would've prefered this special on the sovie instead of its current (as of V3pr) engine disruptor thingy.
