I have a new really great totally awesome idea (well i think its pretty cool)
First part if you have a warpin ship that you no longer need just send it back to Starfleet. No more supply penalty when you suicided the ship because you dont want it.

Second part you can send back a rank 2 or higher ship and SFC will grant you some supplies for training their officers.
Comment

Well I don't know.
Why would you need to send back ships you actually just called in for help?
If I were in Starfleet command I would find it odd if an admiral sends out distress calls and then sends some of the responding ships back because he doesn't like them.

The point is that when you send out distress calls, the responding ships just cannot always be what you really want.
Someone who helps you is not necessarily someone you like.

But at some point the ships from a distress call go back to whatever they were originally doing i was just going to let the user decide.

It wouldn't really be a problem balance wise because you would still have to wait for your cooldown to call another in, and it would be a nice solution to decoming the ships.  Just send them back and you get a bonus if you send them back with a bit of experance.

this idea has my support, and it is totally possible.

Yes, this sounds like an interesting idea. The second part sounds more useful than the first.

I too support this.

It's a distress call - in my opinion you're stuck with whatever you were given, and for gameplay reasons, sending ships back to be replaced gives a great chance for abuse.

You could keep sending back ships and trying again for multiple Ambassadors or Torp Nebulas and get supply back for it... I can see the abuse potential.

just to make it clear i am not endorsing sending it back to get another, im endorsing sending it back to free the slot, just as if u decommed it, no change to the countdown. sending back a low ranked ship would give you nothing, or maybe cost you a fraction of the supply as you wasted their fuel, or maybe add 30 seconds to the countdown as you pissed off an admiral. sending back ranked warpins would gain you a little supply, seeing as you spent your time and energy ranking these ships, and now are sacrificing a ranked ship from your fleet. it would be like a quick way of getting some supply if u couldnt afford to buy it. it would also be a productive way of freeing a slot, as decomming gives no money back for warpins.

i think warpins shouldnt be allowed to decom.

I dont either.
If i want to free some space in my cap i just suicide the ship against the enemy base. So i thought that this solution was a little better.

suiciding actually costs u supply though, which is worse than decomming.

Problem with warpin in is, thats its actually like rolling a dice. Nothing you can count on, but on other hand your ships get slow buildtimes for it.
