Call it something else and add it in, fine - "Constitution II", or "III" or "XI" or whatever. But don't go messing with my established (and beautiful) fanon

There's... a whole game in development that centers around the USS Excalibur of the Excalibur Class. How do you think the creators would feel if suddenly their ship is ugly because of some jumped up money grabbing MMORPG and it's fans? Did I mention this game will be free?

Fine I apologize for calling your fanon ship ugly. It is just different. A good different. 

Hmm i might have to go over and rant to cryptic about using the Excalibur title for the Constitution remake.

And the reason im willing to over look cryptic's many faults is because there never has been a Star Trek MMO. They are doing a pretty good job but the mess alot of things up like how they handled the STO beta. I am not a fan of cryptic studios just a fan of Star Trek with a love for MMOs. And last time i checked there was only one Star Trek MMO out there.

I don't even like MMORPG'S but but between Star Trek and the new Star Wars Old republic game I might give them a try. 

As far as Fleet Ops though, I would love to see a remake of the Constitution, be it the STO or something the great team here creates, I am good either way.  Though I could understand them adding in the fan made version of the Excalibur, just because the Federation could use a dreadnought, for those who want to a "big gun" doctrine.  If not ever consider creating the Federation class MK II dreadnought, hard times call for a tougher ship?

Are you talking about the one from the books? I thought that was a Galaxy Class named Excalibur, so probs not...

If you do a Google search for "Excalibur Class" you get some pics of a large ship and a link from stexpanded.wikia.com straight up. I assume that's the one we are voting for?

That's the one I added to the site a while ago, and the one I hope is in the poll.

Insignea Class Federation Defensive Cruiser (Maybe a Transwarp refit too)

Basically Zaxx said sometime he'll do my favorite (the Soulwolf). Which as an FYI he didn't yet.

But the Insignea would be a nice vessel.

Oh, I said i might not have time to do that one.  I only did the three winners, but As I said, If I have time I will do it.


Also, I love the insignia Class!!!  It already fits the FO style as well.

Wait, every patch is a new ship added to every faction, or just one. I am new here, approaching my first patch release.

And if anything I would think that the klingons would get a new one.

Well, the Federation and Romulans are both slated to get an additional ship as are the Borg (in a future patch)... the Klingons already have the most vessels out of all the factions, so I doubt they will be getting a new one (they will be getting a lot of new models/texturing as well as balancing of course). Does that semi-answer your question?

Why the argument that Excalibur shares lineage with the Constitution class. Excalibur is more like Excelsior anyway in that they both used transwarp drives. Except only the latter was successful...

Infact, the enginereing section is more or less the same shap as the excelcior's.


Actually they were talking about the ecxalibur from STO which is based on the constitution.

Im really suprised and curios, why did no one support the health ship? is it that everyone likes the idea, but just likes another shio better, or nobody likes health ship?

Yha, somewhat, I was just wondering if new ships are goign to be continally added, like does this happen everytime, or is it a case by case based thing.

It's a case by case basis as far as I know: when they feel like a combat role is missing within a faction, a new ship (or existing ship) is added/modified

well i think what would happen is the repair ship would be replaced, and itstead, youd have a bigger hospital ship
