Tactical Cube fusion isn't that popular here, while the Scimitar is to be an NPC unit. The Dominion already has 4 Dreadnougnt varients.

funnystuffpictures wrote:As I have said before it is not "several" years into the future. More like 100. And just because you and almost everyone else thinks this design is ugly does not mean that it should be put into the game. I mean have you seen that Phalanx ship? As long as it has a purpose, it could be very useful. I am thinking the Federations version of the Tavara!  :woot: Or the super duper panic warpin. You need to be more willing to defend your position with facts guys.

And we already saw how much tech has progressed in that period in the Janeway shuttle and the endgame nova. Now imagine that scaled up to a capital ship. Fusion cubes would tremble. The gap is simply too large.

It's like putting an Iowa Class WW2 battleship against a ship from 1840-1850.

For the record, i will jump for joy when the Phalanx is replaced.

lol we'd be talking a USS Excellsior Ent J, not a Lakota Ent J. And may I remind u that that shuttle and it's technology was shared with the 24th century voyager.

Sadly, there is no future Janeway powning the collective in the Fleet Operations timeline. Just as there is no Enterprise-J :)

Did the Enterprise J even exist in a timeline where the sphere builders were defeated by Enterprise? Different discussion though.
What is being proposed in the Enterprise J is adding a ship with at least two times the technological advantage of a Refitted galaxy over a first batch Ambassador (both not FO time line, but canon time line).

In my opinion adding such a ship is too much to balance. It's safe to assume even a Scimitar would be easy picking for such an advanced ship.

We don't, but there was roughly 30 years between the Ambassador Class and Galaxy Class.
If we assume a safe 25 years between introduction of new flagship classes and assume that the sequential numbering continued then there was 125 years ( F, G, H, I, J) between  the introduction of the Enterprise E and Enterprise J.

aye, i would suggest it to be several generations in the future.
In Fleet Operations, the Enterprise-E is still the flagship of the fleet. At the moment, however, she has to run from colony to colony, trying to solve the diplomatic and economic chaos that the war left behind. Does anyone remember the time we were explorers?

That's the DoB of the Enterprise though, not of the class itself. Unless it's an actual Enterprise Class, they're seperate.

Sometimes, it passes quickly.

I am delighted to here the Ent-E is still in service, the Ent-D barely got a shot, in service much less than even the Ent-A.

So many mods and fan fictions progress to the Ent-F as if it's a production line, getting rid of the old for the new and all that.
