Canon-only would probably remove almost all ships and stations in the game.

Come on guys! Don't you all want a for sure way to beat the Assim Avatar!?

Done what the same for the J? Use the J for 100 years? Maybe that was the case.... who knows. The big difference here is that the excelsior wasn't sent back from 400 years in the future...

According to Memory Alpha, the Enterprise J is in the 26th Century. FO is so close to the 25th century, I just round up. Roughly that's 100 years, not 400 years.

Optec wrote:Our beloved Romulan Star Empire is working hard to bring you an Enterprise-J as soon as possible. Until then, we will have to wait.

I will play Romulans more because of this.

I bet it's Fed Mixed-tech with the Rommies as the host faction. Fed-Klinks get the Okinawa, and Fed-Dominion already have the Miranda-II. I bet that, albeit highly unlikely, the Delta Flyer will be the Fed-Borg MT, considering that, according to Memory Alpha, "The vessel was a blend of Starfleet and Borg technology". Other than that, I cannot say, though A Yeager-refit could work somehow.

With all due respect, we don't need more flat bulldozed accident ships.
Or is this saucer err correction disk with two sticks operations now ?

P.S: Did you see the others on the "drex files" ? Is it wrong to wish I was blind ?

Obvious foul idea is obvious. The J definitly has no place in FO or Prime Trek for that matter.

ehm.. :) The Romulan Empire is always working on incrementing the letters of Starfleet flagships. Be it a warpcore malfunction, a tragic shield failure or the beautiful colors of a plasma barrage. Sadly, they dont work together with Starfleet much since the recent affairs

For myself there are two reasons why i do not want to see the "J" in FO:

1. From the pictures I've seen the design is ugly at best, personally i think it is hideous.

2. Adding a federation flagship from several hundred years in the future would be impossible to balance. Considering even a moderate technological development the shields would be near impenetrable, weapons seriously devastating etc. Consider how powerful a mere shuttle from the 25th century was in Endgame (Admiral Janeway's shuttle).

It's just a bad idea IMO

As I have said before it is not "several" years into the future. More like 100. And just because you and almost everyone else thinks this design is ugly does not mean that it should be put into the game. I mean have you seen that Phalanx ship? As long as it has a purpose, it could be very useful. I am thinking the Federations version of the Tavara!  :woot: Or the super duper panic warpin. You need to be more willing to defend your position with facts guys.

Do we know how old the Enterprise J-type was at that time? The ship may have been quite old when we saw it.
