Eject Sphere

I have an idea to have some non-tactical cube configurations eject a sphere in case the cube gets into trouble.  The sphere will use up 2500 of the cubes drones and can only be ejected once per cube.

But before, you have to build a sphere and put it into the cube. And then... it would'nt make any sense.

Hmm maybe it can be a built in version and a little smaller like a scoutsphere or something ?

I was thinking of a tactical vessel, not a scout.

I'm interested in that carrier vessel.

ok just to warn you its not as detailed as a fo cube and still needs jointing but it works and its animated

Detail really doesn't matter right now.  As long as it works, it'll be fine.

Why not allow the scout cubes to eject spheres too!!? I mean Borg already have a hard enough time as it is already.

LOL, we could get really silly and make the borg like Matroshka (you know, those Russian dolls that fit inside one another).

Cube has Pyramid, Pyramind has Sphere, Sphere has Probe, Probe has interceptor.

Well, that's what happened in First Contact and what didn't make too much sense even in the movie. Just eyecandy imo.
And do you really want Cubes being able to field a Sphere?? Really??

Well, how about Vet-Galaxies getting saucer-separation and a special which transforms the saucer into a Steamrunner? That's what I want

I'm pretty sure the FC sphere was much smaller than our FO sphere.

The FC-sphere was more like a scout sphere. It got litte offensive power, nearly no defense (some torps and it was going to hell)

A real borg sphere would have had armor, a defensive grid against attacks, and so on. I can imagine, that the borg also would have the ability to to anti-torp actions, like the cube did against the mars-defense-grid by the TNG invasion.

the fc sphere was definitely not as big and strong as a fo sphere.

it fired what appeared to be hand grenades at the surface.

and the ent one shotted it.

Hehe, then what about a Dodecahedron from the Cube - the "Assault Sphere" just wasn't cutting it

how about the cube just dies? i mean if u have enough ships to kill a cube, a puny sphere isnt gonna be of any help to the borg is it?
