Directors Cut?

its good to know you could easily bring it back if you wanted...

Though in the current fleet operations a ship does easily loose its weapon range advatnage... A Saber always moves in way too close, like when fighting bops even though it could easily stay out of their weapon range?

yea, there are still a lot other issues in the battle system of armada... ;)
i just made a rough implementation of the "directors cut", it would need a lot more tweaking and testing before it is really usable again..

So basically it's exactly what I said, The only way of bringing it back is to set the default behaviour to one of the attack patterns. That's not really directors cut.

ships would of course dynamically change their patterns, different attack patterns for different targets. and that's exactly what happens in armada 1

dont supose you can mail me the odf files to replace one of the formations  with the cloverleaf attack pattern??? I was able to do some amature copy pasting with Fleet ops 2.0 to get it from the old armada 2 but my tacky efforts dont work with 3.0  :rolleyes:

i fear that's up to you. we just don't have the time to support modding directly ;) maybe someone elso from the forums might help you with it
