Ok i've been playing FO for a while now. I love hte work that's been made up to this point. The big evil ships floating around wrecking bases and other fleets. I know the feds need a "big gun". But The decent-class, the fed's "big gun" looks a out of date. Moth balled and kitbashed to give the Fed's a nice big ship. But while revamping the ships you are, can you update the look of the Decent or at least add a different ship? I'd say the Excalibur would be good, but i think it's a ship that's been over rated. If you can find it in your infinite wizdom to "fix" the look of the Fed's "big gun" ship. Please?

Yep, you're so right..
And why not the Excalibur?
Whatever. There are better answers to the question which "big gun" the Federation should have than "Descent".
But I have to add:

the descent is the ugliest ship in fleetops. period.
that said it doesnt look all THAT bad.
still i would love to have a prometheus but Optec already says that unless they find away to do MVAM correctley that they wouldn't put it in

Well and in my opinion they are right about that. Without MVAM the Prometheus would only be a ship with... lots of weapons. At least she would not be cannon if she would get anything else instead.

the descent is non cannon AND ugly.  al least the prom is just ugly

I like her...
But anyhow I'd prefer another ship as a replacement for the Descent. The Prometheus is not that urgent.

Prometheus is to small and underpowered to be a replacement.

THANK GOD!!!!!
oh and ewm
WTF did you mean by the prom was to underpowered?  its basically a warship, and it took out 2 warbirds

he means it defies the the trek lore (much like the defiant), being too small to acumplish what it is supposed to do. throughout trek history the idea has been "large ship, more space for the gear it needs" now all of a sudden we are seeing a few one off warp speed death machines, that according to all we have been led to belive, are simply too small to be just that, i mean hell why not make all the ships in the fleet prommies, and screw everything else cos now we got a ship that can seperate into 3 yes 3 pieces and smash everything else, most notably several ships, each one, said to be at least a direct match for the galaxy :x

I think that's cool!  :sweatdrop:
Nope. Well: you've got a maximum of credits, make the Prometheus cost more than half of it and the problem is solved. If the Prometheus is the ubervessel everyone is trying to get his hands on, everyone will pay for it whatever it may cost.
(I just don't want to think of the Borg assimilating one Prometheus by one as you build them... or Klingons capturing them or whatever...  :borg: )

the reason they are now smaller is because they are mainly warships and not science ships.  less science equipment means more room for the boom boom equipment :woot:
